Chapter 1: Catching his eye
Hey, i've never written a book before, i'm sorry if anything is wrong and not set out properly, but enjoy I guess..
Chapter 1:
Florence pondered into the cafeteria heading to her and Aris's table, the brown haired boy looked up from his food finally seeing the girl walk over to their table, he smiled at her acknowledging her appearance.
She sat down on the bench facing opposite to Aris whilst playing with her food "Hey Flo" she ignored Aris's comment looking over at a new group talking to some boy opposite them she looked back down at her food trying to keep her self hidden just like her and Aris normally did since it was getting close to Janson's daily name calling.
She looked up again curious of the new arrivals, this time she was met with a pair of eyes belonging to a blonde haired boy, she quickly turned away flustered from the eye contact that had just been made.
She jumped at the sudden noise of a boy, one of the new arrivals, she pulled off her hood and looked at the dark haired boy curious of his actions well until she realised what all the noise was about, a girl walking along with some doctors. Florence shared a look of wonder with Aris as they both knew that he would understand them, believe them, he could help them.
Florence and Aris pushed the vent door open and onto the floor, the dark haired boy peered under his bed to see the pair of 16 year olds with their index finger up to their lips indicating for him to be quite "Shh come with us" Aris spoke whilst Florence started leading the way through the vents to were they wanted to show the confused boy something they saw every night.
Once they got to their destination they all sat there in silence waiting. "What are we doing?" the boy questioned, "Shh come here," Aris explained, the boy got up and headed too were Aris and Florence were "Watch" Florence insisted. As the group looked down and watched, suddenly a doctor came and unlocked a door followed by a body being taken into the room.
The dark haired boy looked up at the two with a mix of fear and curiosity planted across his face "What the hell was that" he asked. "They bring in new ones every night like clockwork" Florence explained, "You know what they do with them?". "We don't know this is as far as we've ever gotten, the vents don't even go into that section. But once they go through that door, they don't come back out. " Aris exclaimed
"We don't think anybody really ever leaves this place" the boy looked up at Florence with a feared look. "Come on. We've got to go before somebody notices we're gone" Aris and Florence turned starting to crawl away until the boy spoke up "Why'd you show me this?" Aris stayed put whilst Florence turned around "Because maybe the others will listen to you" Aris began finishing off her sentence "There's something weird going on here, and we know you think so to"
Florence and Aris turned back around and started shuffling away. "Hey wait, what's your names?" "Florence" she started "And i'm Aris" just before they disappeared into the vent the boy called out "Im Thomas"
