Does it smell like a school gymnasium in here?
It’s funny how they’re all the same
It’s funny how you always remember
And we’ve both done it all a hundred times before
It’s funny how I still forgot
It would be a hundred times easier
If we were young again
But as it is
And it is
We’re just two slow dancers, last ones out
We’re two slow dancers, last ones out...
we met one day at the school gymnasium.
It was empty except for them and the speaker that was playing the music.
I lied and said I had forgotten my jacket when in reality I just wanted to see them dance.
I stayed and watched them dance like someone was with them.
They were waltzing and was pretending someone was in front of them, moving all around the gym floor.
Instead of standing there and letting them dance alone I had went up and placed one of my hand in theirs and the other on their waist.
They had just continued like no one joined them but still looked me in the eyes as we danced to the music.
They was beautiful. With their long h/c hair swishing behind them with every move they made. Their beautiful e/c eyes looking right into mine. The smile they wore when dancing.
Then the music would end and they let me go.
They went to pick up their stuff and then they left.
I chased after them but they were gone before I knew it.
Everyday after that I looked for the girl.
And everyday, after practice, they showed up at the school gymnasium and we danced together once more.
hehe another story! I really like this one and it might be a short story like the Iwaizumi one. It's also based on a song like the Iwaizumi one lol. I just get my inspiration from music I guess. The song is two slow dancers by mitski. But hope you enjoy this book! take care:)- G.
