Prologue
“Where should I start?”, I laughed awkwardly.
I stroked the clean, white blanket I was covered in. The sun was shining down upon us, filling the hospital room with gentle, warm light.
You were sitting next to my bed patiently; in a chair you have moved here so you could keep me company.
“This… everything, started long ago. Very long ago.”
I stared out of the window as if outside, I could see the words I was hoping to find.
“It’s something like a fairytale. Ancient, magical, fantastic and unbelievable. That’s exactly what happened to me.”
“Are you talking about how you met him?”, you asked, to which I nodded.
“Now that I think of it, it really might be that thing that everyone talks about. The power of love. Destiny.”
