Chapter 1

Lady Granger often enjoyed exploring the whispered Hampstead Library, it was just across from Heath Road which littered the surrounding cobble road with the tallest trees. Slowing swaying in the wind. She knew the owner quite well, Mr Willard F. Williams was always scurrying around the aged library. He enjoyed Lady Grangers adornment for books and always reminded her when new books arrived, most commonly by horse back on a Friday.

Today was one of these days. Lady Granger clambered into her carriage that hushed Friday morning at approximately 7:50am which would leave her exactly 10 minutes to travel to the well-loved library.
Much to her dismay, she would not be enjoying the early openings of the library alone. But with somebody who had one of the grandest, most decorated carriages her chocolate brown eyes had ever laid on. Gold imprints of dragons danced and hugged the carriage. Almost as much protection as the surrounding guards that swarmed it. Soon the Lady realised who she would be accompanied by in the first flush of morning. Platinum blonde hair ventured from the protected carriage dancing along his pale, pointed sneering face which was soon accompanied by almost cold grey eyes whose could draw in a crowd of sheep to their pens (if they must). He was clothed in a beautifully from jacket and waistcoat that she noticed hugged his chest admiringly. Not that she should care. He also was seen in leather slippers polished so brightly it would make ones eyes hurt if caught staring too long. His cravats that could go without saying were tied with precision and made with the whitest pure starched linen that she had ever seen. Who goes to the small Hampstead library wearing their best clothes?

Whilst she was lost in his captivating looks, he soon noticed the petit (quite) messy-looking lady that stood from afar. Her loose gloves which are usually the purest white were now an embarrassing shade of grey that the Lady called her β€œlibrary gloves” as they were littered with spots of wet ink and dust from her many of visits. The dress came in a dark burgundy with a short train, ribbon embellishments along side a darker shade of pink laced ruffles around the necklace of the dress and on the sleeves. Usually with women the Prince had known, there would be thousands of tiny pearls and flowers woven throughout the hair. Which he found quite annoying when fooling around with them. Unlike them, she wore her hair loose and carefree as it already seemed untameable to begin with. The Prince let out a smile at the sight, only to be returned with a scowl. Like many of the town would give him when visiting. She seemed no different.

β€œAh! Lady Granger good to see you!” The owner gleamed with delight at her attendance to the library at the crack of dawn (like usual). His face soon dropped at the sight of the Prince which quickly distorted into a weak smile and gentle bow. β€˜Your majesty, welcome to Hampstead library. I hope you find the it to your liking. Please let me know of any inconveniences throughout your stay.” Mr Williams nervously stepped aside and anxiously held the door with small yet noticeable beads of sweat dripping down his face. As the Prince strode towards the door with pride in each step, he was pushed by the bushy haired woman who acted β€œcarelessly” and entered the freshly opened library. How dare she! He thought. Acting unaware of her actions, Lady Granger pounced forward towards the door nod flashed the ingest smile she could towards Mr Williams. She thought: I wonder how this visit will go Prince Malfoy?
