“AHHHH!!!” I woke up with a scream. Was that... all a dream? But... it seemed so real...! I was breathing heavily. So many thoughts surrounded my head

*Yawn* I rubbed my eyes to erase the sleepiness. I was still sleepy despite the fact big sis let me sleep in for what happened yesterday

Oh, I forgot to introduce myself! My name is Charlotte Evans. I’m a regular 15 year old girl. My big sis there is Lucy Evans. She has identical lavender hair and purple eyes as me. I’m practically a little version of her.

Our parents died when Lucy was 20 and I was just 13. Sad, I know. But who could blame them? They were old. Mom was 65 when she had me, so she died when she was 78. Father died a few years before her. It was a tragic day...

“Mom, we’re home!” Lucy called out. Hearing no reply, we both got worried and quickly rushed to the kitchen where we last saw her before leaving for a while. We were met with a shocking sight...

our mom was on the ground... not moving at all... “MOM!!!” Lucy and I yelled worriedly simultaneously, running to our mother’s side. Lucy checked for her pulse while I checked for a heart beat

no... there wasn’t any heart beat... I looked at Lucy in hope. “Any pulse?” I asked hopefully, tears trying to force themselves to fall from my eyes. Lucy’s eyes were darkened and clouded. She began to cry “M-Mom...” She cried “N-No... It can’t be!” I said not believing her “She’s dead Charlotte...” My sister told me and called an ambulance.

“I’m afraid... there’s nothing we can do. I’m sorry. Your mother has left this world...” The doctor sighed sadly and left. Lucy clenched her fist and punched a wall. She was crying aggressively. I was too. Mother... why did you have to leave us so soon?

“Mrs Aurora Evan’s last words: My dear daughters Lucy Evans and Charlotte Evans. Our family may be a bit poor, but you have a fortune you can claim. I changed to my school uniform which was a white collar shirt, a black jacket and a black skirt. I tied the jacket on my waist. I didn’t like wearing a jacket in spring. It’s starting to get really steamy after all.

I tied my hair up, letting some loose strands fall beside my face. I used the hair clip mom gave me. A beautiful rose. I clipped it on the side of my hair.

I looked in the mirror. I actually looked pretty nice. I put on some white ankle-socks and packed my bag. Books, pencil-case, folders, laptop, phone... check!

I walked downstairs and put my bag on the couch “Morning sleepy head. Feeling better from last night?” Lucy asked “Yeah. But I still feel sleepy” I replied and yawned. I sat on the stool and put my arms on the kitchen counter. I laid my head in between. “Here” Lucy placed a mug in front of me “coffee always removes sleepiness” I held the mug “Thanks sis” I drank and felt the sleepiness disappear “No problem”

Lucy turned on the TV “Incidents show that this new attractive game called ‘Among Us’ have lead to people taking risks” Said the news reporter. What? A game that can make your life at risk? Don’t be ridiculous “These incidents show-” Before the reporter could continue, Lucy turned off the TV “What nonsense. That’s just a game.” She hissed “I agree. How could a game hurt you?” I replied

“Anyway, I better get to school. See ya sis!” I put on my black and red laces boots “See ya! Love you!” She replied. “Love you too!” I got out of the house, and left our apartment
