Home at last
I stood there in the doer way, watching him sleep. He looks so much more peaceful and happy when he’s asleep. Life takes its role on everybody but it’s pushed him harder then others. He has a permanent crease between his eyebrows from it.I walk over to the dresser, kicking off my heels as I go. I reach up to my ears to set detangle my earrings from my ears, laying them down on the dresser I sigh in content. I look up into the mirror, it’s dark so I can only see an outline of my face and the bed with Caleb in it behind me. I give a slow smile and slip my jeans off. Unbuckling my belt and laying my pants on the chair I lift the blankets up from the bed. I slide in and curl up next to my love. Even in his sleep he wraps his arms around me and brushes his lips brush over my forehead. I smile with my eyes closed and snuggle closer. Falling into a deep sleep, right to the person I couldn’t live without.
