Chapter 1: The proposal
Maddie sighed gently as she sat alone on the porch a small mug of lemonade was in her hand, she hadn’t noticed me standing beside her for awhile now which was good I don’t want her notice what I was doing not yet anyways.
“Pico?” She called out to me, “Why are you standing so far?”
Her soft voice had caught me by surprise as I nearly dropped the ring, I took a breath and soon made my way to her side. “Maddie?”
She looked over at me setting her mug down getting up, “What is it Pico?”
I quickly opened the box, getting down onto one knee, “Will you marry me?”
“P-Pico?” She soon started to tear up, “Of course! Of course I’ll marry!”
