Chapter 1- How it Started

Lily's POV

It's Monday, September 6. I'm in class, as today is my first day of 8th grade. Hi, Sup?. I'm Lily Flower. In the 3rd row of class is where I sit. The class is filled with people I knew from 1st form. My friend Sierra Walker is sitting on my right. She's sort of normal, as far as I can see. Sierra has red long hair and pretty green eyes. She's wearing this brown long sleeve crop top, with blue jeans and white sneakers. She is really cool to have around.

There is an empty desk beside me (on my left), but next to it sit Simon Jones. He's the nerd. No, wait, sorry. Correction: The Nerd. Blonde hair, blue eyes (that Sierra would love to drown in) and a nice set of glasses. He has on a black and white checkered shirt, black jeans and a pair of white addidas.

So, technically the table beside me (that is empty) is missing a certain someone. Mainly, my best friend. Jake Williams. Simon is his friend.

It's his first day of school and he's already late. I mean, we usually take the bus together, but I was too busy being nervous about my first day of school to actually notice that my best friend is not with me. Which is weird since we are (most of the times) the first or second one to reach on the bus.

Anyways, enough about that. I turn to Sierra who is playing around with her hair. Something she does when she's thinking.

"What's the first subject of the day?" I asked.

She gave me a confused look.

"I didn't get the time table." She then reached into her school bag and handed me a folded piece of paper. I took it and started to unfold it.

Let's see, ummm..., Monday... Math. Nooooooooo!!!.

"You can keep it, I have another one."

I look at her like she's messed up. She always seems to be prepared. "What?" She said as she flipped her hair over her shoulder. I shook my head as I turned away from her and continued looking on the paper in my hands.

"Nothing,um ,thanks." I glanced at her to see that she started chewing her hair. I slapped her hand.

"Ouch. What is wrong with you?"

"I could ask you the same thing."

She sighed. Putting one hand on her shoulder I said,"Its okay to be nervous about your first day."

She shook her head saying: "No, Its not that, it's just,...". She started to stare at something (or should I say someone). I looked to Simon. Ohhhhhhhh.

You see Sierra has this huge crush on Simon. He feels the same way and me along with Jake have been trying so hard to make them speak their true feelings. But, we failed. I can still remember that day.

~Flashback~

Me and Jake were at the park. We had told Simon and Sierra to meet us there. Most of the times we would just sit on a bench or lay on the grass and just relax and chat. It was fun. People don't usually come here, which makes it quite and peaceful. There's this one bench, that we always go sit by. It has this large tree not too far infront of it. That's were me and Jake had been hiding as soon as Simon and Sierra had gotten here.

"Look." Jake said pointing at our targets. The redhead picked up a paper that read that we would soon come back.

I bent a little lower chuckling to myself. They had sat there talking. It was weird at first, but they got the hang of it.

Not really.

Anyways, minutes had passed when we never moved from our spot. That's when the realization hit them that we weren't coming back. I wish I had brought a camera of the expression on their faces. It was amazing.

"So...". Simon said a little nervous. "So...". Sierra repeated.

"Isawtheinsidesofadeadfrogonce."

You have got to be kidding me.

I looked at Sierra who was just trying to figure out what on earth flew out of Simon's mouth. They sat there, staring...

I couldn't watch this anymore.

"Whose idea was this?." I asked myself. But Jake seemed to have heard it as he cleared his throat.

Oh, right, mine.

We were gonna take off when Simon spotted us.

Shoot.

They chased us until we were out of breath. After that they didn't stop bugging us for weeks.

~End of Flashback~

Yet as I was about to say something to her, my worst nightmare came threw the classroom door.

Miss Beak (our Math teacher). We all stood up. The entire class: "Goodmorning Miss Beak."

"Sit!." she said threw gritted teeth.

Rude.

Moments later:

We were doing another class since Math was gotten over with (No offence to Math lovers). So now were doing Integrated Science. The teacher was writing down our notes as the classroom door opened up slowly. Then in peeked that same nincompoop.
