marvelous depiction of pirate Ching Shi's life

"This is one of the best books, which combines a historical pirate's life and a fantasy world. At first, I had a hard time catching up with the characters, but as I continued reading it was so easy to remember and all the characters were well written with so many dynamics. I love how, most of the time, Ching Shi is strategic and stubborn yet doesn't fail to take suggestions from others if it benefits her in any way. This book is beautifully crafted about how Ching Shi went into prostitution and how instantly her life kept on changing drastically with all the decisions which she made. I really liked the way in which all the character development occurs throughout the book. I loved the descriptions of the vivid scenery in this book. In some chapters, I felt like I was traveling with the characters in this book and living among them and I went into a rollercoaster of emotions along with the characters, which is pretty rare to me. When the book was about to end, I felt like I needed more of it. It'd be great to know more about the characters in depth... I'd love to read part-2 of this book if the author chooses to write more about the adventures of Ching Shi. I really appreciate the efforts taken by the author to research and craft the complete life story of the great pirate Ching Shi. It would have been great if the author had ended this book with another twist for part 2. Overall, it was a great book which I got ready for after reading so many mediocre books which weren't worth the hype. But this book is seriously underrated.... I wish a lot of people would read this book and get to know more about Ching Shi."
