High School Cold War AU (Oc based)
Friday night, post game. Lynn stood by the entrance of the school building, her shoes off as she sat on the stairs. She was waiting for Woods, as he promised to take her out for a celebration. As time went by, the colder it seemed to get, she put her shoes back on, in an attempt to warm her feet from the air around. Where was he? Did he
forget
? Break his promise? She looked at the night sky as hot tears welled up in her eyes, and fell down her cheeks. She didn’t know how long she was put there, waiting or how long she’d been crying, but she soon felt a coat drape around her shoulders, and a pair of arms wrap around her shivering figure. She looked up, wondering who it was.. but it was obvious.. It was
Stone
. The masked male gave a soft, and worried expression, voicing that he had come out for some fresh air. The female sat in his arms for a few moments before explaining what had happened. Stone seemed
furious
, as anyone would be. Lynn sighed, letting her eyes fall shut, and her head go down slightly. This didn’t last very long, because Stone lifted her head up, gently gripping her chin between his pointer and thumb finger. His mask was pulled down, and it happened all to quickly for Lynn to comprehend, but she melted into the kiss as if she hadn’t been stood up, and she was meant to be with Stone. After they pulled away, they had a moment before speaking once more. The two agreed on going to the post game celebration together, but the two wouldn’t be with one another for long upon entering the gymnasium, filled with streamers of the teams colors,
Purple and Yellow
, and the teams mascot, a

, being shown on a large screen. The lights were dimmed, and music played loudly through out the area. It was at this moment, Lynn had lost sight of her bestfriend, unsure of where Jace or Jack were at this event, she ended up just hanging around the few jocks who had stayed back, rather than go out drinking or home. That’s where she ran into the teams backup quarterback, who took Woods place when he needed to be benched, which happened quite often due to his and Coach Hudson’s scuffles. He was never kicked out, some think it’s because he’s one of the best men coach has, others think Woods has some green to convince the coach to keep him on the team. She and Baker, the back up, talked for what seemed like ages, they had a lot in common it seemed, and Lynn was
living
for it. Maybe this was a change that needed to happen? It didn’t take long before Lynn ended up in Bakers car, and back at his place. But as the front door shut, it was just the start of something
less than Cloud 9
. She was taken for granted, abused, manipulated.. but she only had herself to blame. After a hell of a night with the older male, it was made clear that he wanted this “relationship” to continue. So, she was forced to meet him after school every day forward, but that soon proved to not be enough for the sick man. He even took her out of practice, always hanging a sort of Blackmail above her head. Some photos that were less than SFW, and the constant reminders that if she said anything.. he was well liked, and would always be able to twist her words. His words echoed in her mind; ‘
I don’t know why she’s complaining, she asked for it.’
The constant interaction with this man was putting a toll on her mental and confidence. So much so, she even attempted an overdose, luckily, Stone had found her and brought her to the hospital to get her the help she needed. Once back at school, Jack had noticed her sudden distance, and had brought it to Jace’s attention,
although
, the female was already skeptical about her bestfriend and co-captain missing practice. So, they confronted her, only to be met with denial and refusal to speak. The two went on, not bothering her much, but keeping a close eye on everything she did, and said. At a sleep over with the three, Jace, Jack, and Lynn, she eventually blurts out everything that’s happened, even what he’d do if he found out she had said anything. Her friends are furious, but it doesn’t last very long, being Jace wants to help Lynn forget about the whole situation, in attempt, she mentions how close she’s gotten to Vikhor, and Jack mentions how Mason let him steal his Jacket.. it helped her to say the least. Word eventually gets to Stone and Woods... let’s just say, Baker wasn’t apart of the team anymore, as for his scholarship? He
lost
it. Lynn soon regains her old self, using this as a
strength
, rather than a
weakness
.
