Memorable and Thought Provoking
"Firstly, I love the author's writing style. It's very metaphorical, vague and poetic. Their writing is filled with vivid descriptions and it is so beautiful! As for the stories themselves, I had to read them twice just to make sure I had it all figured out, and by the second time around I understood much better. I loved the story of K, especially. When I read it the second time around, a lightbulb went off in my head, and I was pleasantly surprised. 'Heart Condition' made me wonder how much of our supposed memories are laced with our imagination, and how nostalgia and longing can cause things to seem better than they actually were. I loved how the loveless marriage between the painter and Andrew was described in 'Without A Sob'. The writer symbolised his emotional disconnect to him inhabiting "another planet on a page torn out from a second-hand atlas and definitely lost." That was clever! As for Sweet Sixteen, it may be slightly problematic in its own right, but the writing is still gorgeous nonetheless. These three stories romanticise pre-covid times, as I'm sure most people would have done in the height of the lockdown in 2020. I would recommend that everyone gives this book a read. Props to the author!"
Wish the story was longer
"Love reading Lidmila s work, but just as I got into the story it ended.I guess with all that is going on today it’s not easy to gather our thoughts and put them down on paper.Looking forward to a new story"
So much needed emotions

Love in Covid
"These are three stores of realistic love. I really enjoyed reading them. They cover hopelessness of pretend love to other forms of love in a woman's life. Finally the feelings of lost love. They are all powerful choices. Lidmila expresses them all in a lovely, poetic way."
Intense romantic loss
"In these stories we feel remorse yet none, we feel the meeting of life head on, without being knocked down. No masks, no illusions, not even the illusion of love, which is the tragedy.. Excellent writing."
