99 attributes of God.
Yet they pick and choose for themselves
which one to worship and which one to reject.
Some worship him for being “just”.
Some worship him for being “merciful”.
In fact, they all worship themselves.
They have painted a picture of the best version of themselves and placed God in it.
If that version to them is mercy, then God is merciful.
If that version to them is justice, then God is just.
If they worshiped God just for his sake,
then the concept of attributes, heavens, and hells
would already be out of the picture.
Mind would lose itself and eyes would go dry in search of the divine.
It would only be the presence of the divine that would calm the restless soul of the devotee. writing here…
