Chapter 1: meeting the boys
~ Two months until the best and worst day of your life... ~
Today is July 14th, three and a half months after Inarizaki high school started.
Great, everyone has friends already, a club, and someone to sit with at lunch. Now I’ll just be the new girl who doesn’t know her place in the school’ You thought to yourself, cringing at the idea of trying to make friends so late into the school year.
You waited in the school office to receive where your homeroom class would be. Once you learned where it was, you quietly made your way towards your new class with your skateboard in your hands. The walk to your class was quiet and peaceful. It was definitely a lot different than Nekoma.
You finally reached your class doors and slowly slid them open to hopefully not disrupt the teacher as much.
“You must be my new student, Satsuki Y/n. Please come in and introduce yourself and tell us something about yourself.” Your teacher said with a warm smile on her face.
“Hi, as you heard. My name is Satsuki Y/n. But I prefer to be called Y/n, please. I enjoy painting and skating. I hope you all take care of me and give me a warm welcome.” You said before bowing at the end. As you came back up from your bow, you scanned the class to familiarize yourself with everyone’s face. Your eyes traveled to the back of the class and landed on the boy who had the only open seat next to him. He had dark brown hair with strands sticking up in the middle and greyish-yellow pretty eyes.
“Thank you Y/n, you may take the seat in the back.” She said while gesturing to the only open seat. The seat was in the back right corner. And three boys sat around you. You could tell two of them were twins: one with dyed blonde hair and the other with grey. And the other was the boy who had caught your attention.
Making your way to your seat. The blond boy was staring at you. Once you finally sat in your seat, you put your board at your feet. So you fidget with it. By moving it back and forth, he turned around to face you and put his elbow on your desk.
“Who knew the new girl would be this pretty,” the blondie said with his head sitting in his palm and a smirk on his face.
“Jesus Atsumu, already flirting with the new girl who hasn’t been here for even five minutes?” Atsumu’s twin brother said, shaking his head with a disappointed look on his face. You just laughed it off and paid attention to the bored so you wouldn’t miss anything important. A few minutes later, Atsumu’s twin leaned in as close as he could to you without getting in trouble.
“I’m Osamu, the non-perverted twin. Don’t mind my brother, he’s always like this. So if he gives you any problems and makes you uncomfortable, please don’t be hesitant to tell me so I can beat his ass for you” Osamu whispered, chuckling at his brother. This caused a quiet argument between the twins on how you should treat women. You could tell Atsumu was single, and it was very obvious. After a while, the twins quit arguing and were paying attention to the teacher again. Ms.Suzuki gave us an assignment to work on quietly, so the classroom was silent.
When you finally finished the assignment, there were only five minutes left of English class. So you decided to put your head down. But Atsumu had other plans.
“Hey y/n, you should come sit with us for lunch, we sit on the rooftop.” He said with a smile on his face.
“Umm, ok. Is it just going to be us three?” You said glancing at the clock then looking back to the twins.
“Four. and no, you’ll be meeting the team. My name is Suna by the way. But, you can call me Rin or Rintaro.” Rin said with his head in his hands looking at you from his desk.
“nice to meet you guys by the way. But what team are we talking about?” you asked curiously as the bell rang signaling that it was now lunchtime.
“Oh sorry, we forgot to tell you. We’re a part of the volleyball team.” Osamu said standing up to get ready to head to the rooftop.
“Cool, I used to be a manager for Nekoma before I moved here.” You said getting your bento and skateboard.
“So, are you ready to meet the team Y/n? Everyone is pretty nice. Well except our captain Kita if you get on his bad side” Rin said waiting beside your desk.
“Yeah, I guess so. Let's go” you said trailing behind the twins who were making their way to the rooftop.
