Chapter 1
Winter 6
Yuki was sleeping dreaming of the time he spends with the Snow Queen. She was a mother to him when his original mother abandoned him. In this dream especially was when the Queen told him that when he becomes older he will become the Prince of Snow or even better the Prince of Winter. He remembers that the Snow Queen looked happy as she talked about it to him. He found himself dreaming of that scene a lot of time lately.
One of the boys in the orphanage woke him telling him to go to the dining room that there was someone here to meet him.
Yuki was only 5 years old when the Snow Queen left him at Poor Soul Orphanage. Even at a young age, he would wonder why would someone name an orphanage Poor Soul? Yuki found out very earlier that he was the only actually the only poor soul in the orphanage. He was the odd one out of every boy in this building. White hair, pale skin, and white eyes doesn't match a normal boy in this household. The kids nicknamed him Ghost and Snow Ball.
Once in the dining room, he found Sister Sota with a boy who was smiling ear to ear. The boy was wearing a simple white shirt and a pair of shorts pants that looked a little too big for someone his size. The boy was a foot taller than Yuki. Yuki didn't think anything of it he just wondered why he was called.
"Ah, Yukine you here," Sister Sota said "This is Watanabe Natsu his going to staying with us until his grandma comes and picks him up in a week. " Sister Sota was one of three sisters that were in charge of the orphanage. Only Miss Sota was the only one that was nice to him all the others were scared of him and called him the son of the devil because he was always so cold to people.
The boy with yellow hair walked to Yuki and said "Hi, my name is Natsu you can call me Happy. Sister Sota told me that I'm going to share a room with you. By the way, I'm seven years old, how old are you?" Natsu asked. He took Yuki's hand and began to shake it hard, "Wow, your hands are cold" he explained.
"I'm six years old," Yuki told Natsu and walked away.
Natsu was left surprised by how strayed forward Yukine was. The boy didn't even smile and he was so cold he founded surprising how Yuki was still alive.
"My apologies Yukine can be cold harder sometimes."Sister Sota explains. She then continues explaining why Yuki was the way he is " He was one of the last boys to be sent here in many years and one of the youngest. Not many people send their children here anymore not after the townspeople said that this place was cursed," She said " Yukine has a frozen heart due to the Snow Queen freezing it to keep him alive and because of that he can't feel emotions like other people. It's up to me to explain to him what's wrong and what's right."
"But why is he so cold?" Natsu asked.
"Hahaha" Sister Sota laughs, " I thought you would understand but I guess you too young to understand. Yuki has a frozen heart doesn't just mean frozen emotion it also means the frozen body. He can't feel warms. " She finished.
The Sister walked Natsu to the room where he would stay for the next week. When he entered he was surprised that it was snowing because of how cold it was. He noticed that Yuki was in his bed reading a book he didn't even look up when the other two came in.
Sister Sota touches Natsu's shoulder as if to say good luck and walked away.
Natsu walked to the other boy's bed and said "You and I will become best friends. I will come and visit you every chance I get when my grandma comes and picks me up or I'll even ask her if we can take you". Yuki didn't respond.
"Before I go I will make you smile and that's a promise" He promised Yuki.
"You can try but you will fail" Yukine responded still looking at his book.
Natsu smiled.
