¨These two silver fox rabbits were found yesterday on the side of the state highway, they will now live their lives out in captivity…" Said the narrator of one of my favorite shows, till now they had never shown a rabbit on the captivating show but now that I had seen one I knew I was meant to have one. I instantly got up and flew back to the house as I was watching this on my iPad in my treehouse otherwise known as the house of wonders.
"Mom,mom!" I yelled as I ran into the kitchen where my beautiful mother was cooking dinner, she had long brown hair, big blue eyes and a stunning smile of white pearls.
"Yes what is it sweetheart,oh! Heaven no Eva,we don't have time for a dog. What do you think we need a rabbit for???¨ My Mom replied crushing the dreams of my four year old self.
This I wrought down on my letter to Santa, I was now 10 and asked my parents for a rabbit every year but to my disappointment they always let me down but not this year, this time I was going straight to the jolly old man himself.
¨ I have been a very good girl this year, I don't usually ask for anything but this year I really want a rabbit.
Love a very good little girl Eva.¨
I then sealed the letter up.I wrote on paper because I heard Santa likes the paper letters best. And stuck it in the mail, I ran back in as I sat by the window till I made sure the mail man got my letter, I watched as the short plump man walked over to the mailbox reached in and pulled out the red and green envelope and put it in his bag threw it in the back of his truck and road off to deliver my wonderful letter to santa, hoping and praying he would see me through.¨Ho ho ho! It's always a joy to see a kid go from the naughty list to nice, now lets see...ah! My good little angle so humble never asking for anything for herself. Mh…..ok….OH! The sweet thing wants a rabbit, than a what she shall have.¨ Said Santa as he called his most trusted elf and head or prediction.
¨Yes, you requested me Santa?¨ Asked Jolly as he climbed over the towering piles of letters spread over the floor of the room.
¨ Santa Miss Claus would have your tail!¨ Jolly scolded as he finished climing over the last pile standing in front of Santa.
¨Yes I know thats why she isnt aloud in the letter room around Christmas.¨ He chuckled,
¨Now I need your help, you see, Eva sweet little thing wants a rabbit for Christmas and only the best in the north will do.¨ Said Santa to his head elf.
¨Oh! B-But it's only 2 days till Christmas!¨Exclaimed Jolly.
¨I know thats why I put my hardest working Elf on the job.¨ Santa said as he walked Jolly back out the door.
¨I'll get Miss Claus to help look, now off you go we don't have a minute to waist, Christmas is 2 days away and only the best will do!¨ Santa told Jolly as he put on his heavy coat and waddled out of the door on the look for Miss Claus.
¨ This is the hardest job Santa has ever given me, but there's no reason in setting around here I need to hurry on out.¨ Sighed Jolly as he put on his small coat and hurried out the door to his house on the beautiful snow covered hill.
