Prologue
Its the year 1982 Ronald Reagan is President, E.T has made its way to the big screens, and on May 5th at 00:00 hours swirling blue portals the size of a tiny island open up in every major city. New York, Hong Kong, Manila, Paris, Tokyo, Seoul every country had at least one. The people who were present described them as mesmerizing. They could all but stare and consume its beauty.
For the next couple hours the militaries of each country were scrambling to figure out which country was responsible for these glowing figures. In the middle of the Cold War the United States blamed Russia and Russia blamed the United States. By 12:00 hours each country realized that no known entity on Earth could have opened these portals. You know the saying the enemy of my enemy is my friend, well when you are confronted with an unknown enemy things like politics and borderlines become less important.
So, the leaders of each nation came together to form an emergency coalition called the Global Anomaly Association or G.A.A to share any information they got from the portals and make collective decisions about any action that may be taken toward them. At this point the portals had been open for a week and access to it had been sealed off by each countries' military. Another week went by with no activity before the first thing came out of it.
Two weeks after the portals appeared, a figure that resembled a tall human male exited each portal. The military of each nation attempted to apprehend him, but an invisible force field would prevent anything from touching it. The being spoke first. " Hello my name is Al, I come from another dimension seeking camaraderie between your people and mine." It's voice echoed through the ears of people within an 15 mile radius. " My people and I are from the planet Brague. We do not wish to harm you. We only wish to form a mutually beneficial diplomatic relationship with your people. I will leave you with a book that details the history of Brague and a list of the commodities we can offer you with this partnership. I will return in a week's time for your planet's decision." In an instant the figure was back through the portal and a large book was left in it's place.
The book revealed that Brague is a world that has been ripped right off the pages of a fantasy novel. Witches, orcs, fairies, elves, shapeshifters and more all live in this world. Along with magic this world has technology far beyond anything they have on Earth. The members of the G.A.A deliberated nonstop on Al's proposal for the entire week. When Al returned the G.A.A announced that they would be accepting its proposal. As Al promised Brague's technology was shared with the G.A.A and over the next few decades as citizens of Brague slowly began immigrating to Earth nations began to dissipate and the G.A.A became the ruling government body for the world.
