Someone was calling out for me I could feel it, A heavy wait set on my shoulder.
"Wake up Cara"

Someone threw water on my face and my eyes open and I immediately regreted it as soon as I opened them, there were so much light inside my room. Then I remember then I forgot to close the curtains of my window last night and rest must be done by my stepmom Ashlee, I sighed finally coming out of my nightmare it was like even when they were gone they truly weren't, my panic settles and my breath even out, I wiped the sweat from my forehead with my hand and the tears from my cheeks

"I told u so many time to take your MEDS on time why don't you listen to me for once then maybe your nightmares will go away and you will stop embarrassing us" My stepmom said, continued " Did you knew how loud you were shouting, when will you starting listening to me and stop embarrassing us this family you know we don't have money to move again from this place so start listening to me" She said with more anger this time.
I sighed and Said while running my hand through my hairs & moving them out of my face I was still covered in sweat " I m sorry okay, I promise I will not forget again. It just you know I can't.." my throat suddenly become full, tears appears again in my eyes.
Her eyes become little softer "I know ",she said softly. but continue " you are now 17 well almost 18 in few months you have to be more responsible and please start taking your meds I don't want to hear any more excuses, this is a new start for us I don't want our neighbors to complain about noises , Okay"
With that she left my room and said while moving towards stairs that I have only left one hour to get read for the school if I don't want to be late, without even hearing my side and went downstairs.
She could be so heartless sometimes I couldn't understand before my daddy and Asher died she was such a bitch to me torturing me complaining to daddy that I was a brat and don't listen to her but afterwards I didn't know what happens other that somehow we grew closer and she help me dealing with my dad's and Asher's death.
It was really hard to keep living while knowing that there was no one left for me in this world, i feel my inside tightened.I moved from my bed , It's was as big as I have ever seen or sleep in a long time, a queen size bed. I don't know how we can afford this place now, a few months back we have to struggle for even one day meal and suddenly out of nowhere she said we were moving here & we had enough money to buy this house yeah that's what it was, or at least for me because when you live your whole life in a shoe box size apartment this is big as fuck and now this it sure feels giant house to me.
I glance towards my entire room again thank god it was clean because I don't have the strength to clean it again. Adjustment was such a pain in the ass in new place and my room keep getting dirty & dirty, "fuck" I cursed as soon as I started to move my toe hit with bed side table blood appears on the skin surface but thank God it wasn't full out bleeding because I didn't wanted to hear Ashlee lecture again.
I move towards my bed again with my hurt toe and sit on the bed. My room was as simple as it could be but it was more of ashlee's choice than me. Light Yellow bed sheet with white bed it's a combination not bad but of course not my favourite but it's not like it matters , then like rich people I have side table on both sides of the bed with lamp on them, there was expensive curtain on sides of the window at least they were white. And near that there was a study table which have books for my upcoming senior year , & towards right a white door which leads towards my personal bathroom and white walls , as I said expensive as fuck. Money don't impresse me anymore, i don't know why even when I lived my whole life in poverty still other than necessary stuff I don't need anything special. but Ashlee being Ashlee sure as fuck loves it. I scowl while thinking, In front of me there was some family photos of me and ashlee & my childhood photo with daddy and Asher. Next to it was door towards downstairs. My inside tightened again thinking about daddy and asher , "Stop thinking Cara and focus on moving so you won't be late for your First of of senior year" I murmured to myself.I moved again feeling pain, my toe I almost forgot that i hit , frustrated with my carelessness.
I move towards my bathroom. White walls expensive built-in shower that appears like rain and it was so giant, mirror in the centre right with white big sink with expensive toiletries set on it , I moved my gaze towards the white glass door of shower & then to my left that has towel & bath robe hanging on it, white obviously, I shake my head.
Then I remember that I forgot my school dress & my undergarments, this place is fucking with my head . I moved faster this time even with the pain I keep feeling on my toe & open my closet that was placed besides the family photo wall & searched for the school dress Ashlee got me 2 days back saying how sexy and gorgeous it was, I do agree, it was sexy and totally not appropriate for the school dress but it was school girls dress code. A white and red check shirt with good 2 inches short from my knees red skirt , thank god for the black lace legging we can wear under them and a matching red tye of course , 𝑠𝑜 𝑝𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑡.
I found my dress quickly inside my closet but couldn't find the legging lace , I grew worried called out for ashlee where it was "Ashlee I couldn't found the lace legging with school dress that you got me, do you know where is it" , to which she replied " Cara I told you that school give that option , I never said that I got them for you. Why waste money on such small thing when you could do more important things like getting breakfast material for morning breakfast", I hear in disbelief not quite believing that she actually didn't get me the legging. " OH MY GOD, how I m going to wear this without legging " I said to myself worried. I guess this will have to do.
I got shower as fast as I could without leaving anything out and got myself clean properly. As I stood in front of the bathroom mirror I saw myself but it's was like it was not me but a new girl with Beautiful black hair with highlights brown which I got recently, water dipping from my hair my face clear of any makeup I can see the light frenkel on my nose with my dark blue eyes , I know I was beautiful but never got anyone's attention because that was not me I don't like attention . My peaceful place is in my shadows & keeping my head down and just get it over with and thankful I have got successful in that , I hoped it works here also and nobody would notice me. I quickly get ready applying eyeliner and lip gloss of cherry shade I love and quick did my hair in pony. I look at myself in the mirror once again from my head to toe my hair in pony with small hair leaving on the sides with my eyes covered in black not full but just giving a hint of eyeliner with my full lips covered in redish-pink lip-gloss and I smiled again I look good , really good.
Satisfied with my appearance I said to myself " let's start the first day of your senior year Cara just don't be scared okay" and smiled again reassuring myself even though I was so scared, new place meeting new people most would thing maybe I got used to it now after so many years of continue moving but I couldn't, I running my fingers through my hair even though they were not fully dried and straightening my dress ebmen though it was short & my 5.5 inches didn't helped with black shoes that was appearing more like sandals to me
