Chapter I - Loneliness
Do you ever feel like a part of you is missing? Like you have everything you could ever ask for but there is still this emptiness inside you. You crave for something but you don't know what it is.
That's the feeling I've had for as long as I can remember.
"Hellooo.... Are you even listening to me ?" My friend, Ayvah's voice pulls me out of my trance. She's been my best friend and roommate for about five years now. I met her at Uni and we just clicked.
She's trying to convince me to go to a club with her this Saturday. It's not like I hate parties or anything like that. I'm simply not in the mood.
"Come on, Charmaine. It'll be fun," she adds. "Okay, I'll come," I finally give in.
"Yay, you won't regret it," she says.
"Jesus, can anyone get any service around here?" an aggravated customer complains.
"Oops, we're sorry for the wait. What can I get you, Sir? Ayvah and I both work at Renee Pastries, a popular bakery in Livoir City.
"Three strawberry frosted donuts, five lemon cupcakes with lavender frosting and a cappuccino,”
"Coming right up" I reply.

Four hours later, my shift is over and I am boarding a taxi to get home.
