Hailey, Ari, and Nicole were walking through the woods on a sunny 8O degree Friday. Nicole age 10, Hailey age 9, and Ari age 8 were best friends and they were having a sleepover. As they were walking through the woods behind Nicole’s house Ari pointed something out. It was a big box with a note attached to it. The note said

“Awesome” they all said at once. “Let’s open it” said Hailey pulling out her pocketknife with the initials H.O engraved in it. When they opened it they all stared with their mouths wide open. “What is it” said Ari. “I have no idea” answered Hailey “Hey look there is another note attached to it” said Nicole excitedly. This note said

1 step into the time machine
2 punch in the date you want to go to
3 retrieve something from that point in time
4 type todays date in the time machine
5 return to your point in time
“Holy Cow” said Nicole “A time machine, awesome” said Hailey “uh uh” said Ari. They talk for a minute and then decided that they should tell their moms their moms were in Hailey’s house talking until the girls got back. After they told their moms they said they had to figure out what time to go to. “Hmm” said Ari. Then Hailey came up with a great idea “We are learning about Harriet Tubman in class so why not go there” They all agreed that that was a good idea. So they made their way through the forest to the time machine. The time machine was as big as a small trailer and looked like one to. They entered trough the front door and typed in March 6, 1847. “Ok, let’s go” said Nicole
