One More Step
Running. I have always felt so tired just thinking about the word. It's just so exhausting. The speed, the adrenaline, the brief moment of mindlessness that comes just before the thought of pushing yourself past the limit.
Nothing has ever been worse...
Until now.
This is the first time, in my low-key introverted life, that I feel like being still is my enemy. And the fact I am moving slower than a turtle during a dire situation right now is an even worse one. Never have I ever wanted to run into a problem as badly as I do now. Especially since this so called problem looks less than two point five seconds away from slaming its agressively swaying claw tenticles into my fathers body.
