Chapter 1:Alex-Anxiety
I couldn't believe it, I had finally told her.
Maybe I should have just waited for the right moment. I totally lacked interest in everything that was happening around me, lost in the thoughts of the previous night. One text had changed everything. I crossed my legs and covered my head with the hoodie on my leather jacket, then lay my head by the side on my bag resting on my legs. My stomach was heavy.
It was 5 minutes before the lecture, and I had not seen her anywhere around the outside benches where she usually sat.
“Dude last night was lit, uuuuuuu -check this out,” he took out his phone and showed to my face a video of girls twerking. “Look at them lovelies shake that, I can't believe you didn't come through for all this boy, after all, you were personally invited-Sheila actually asked for you." He bent and looked directly at me with a grim on his face and asked , "What happened to you? You were supposed to come."
I stood up, grabbed my bag in frustration and indicated, "I am going to the lecture room.” I left him; I knew he was definitely going to find new company to entertain. Some people are just born with the gift, I thought.
As I was walking along the pavements to the lecture room, my eyes locked with Sheila's coming from the opposite direction. My perception of her had totally changed, after the video Jade had shown me. But she could twerk, I could give her that. When she got close to me she smiled and greeted me, "Hie, Alex, we missed you yesterday."
I realized there were no more empty chairs; I had to go and look for one in the other lecture rooms. I got into the next room, took one empty chair and carried it back to the marketing lecture then sat at the back, the lecture started. I tried to focus on what the lecturer was saying but all that was circulating in my mind were questions like, did she read the text? Was I still even her friend anymore? Why did she not respond? Did she even see the message? The lecture seemed to be taking too long, till finally it was over. I placed my books in my bag whilst waiting for those that were sitting in front of me to exit. I couldn't help it, but regularly glance at this new guy making her giggle as they walked out. What were they talking about? Oh how I loved her dimples every time she smiled.
Just as I got out of the lecture room, she grabbed me by the hand, held me close and started to kiss me. My heart beat raced. I was overwhelmed with bliss. With her arms around me, she moved her mouth close to my ear and whispered, “I love you too.”

A good first chapter, however, there were many grammar errors that would annoy readers and interrupt the flow of the story. A bit more editing would make your story much better. Grammar aside, great job with the first chapter!!
