A Mother Prayer
A Prayer
I pray for you,
That should an hour come in your life,
When the Brightest Noon turns To the Darkest Night,
And shadows around you,
All flicker like pale ghosts of a forgotten past. And in that endless void,
All you hear are the screams of your heart. I pray for you,
Then, in that hour of your life,
When with your week feet, you seek to flee because of fright,
And everyone denies you,
All forgets the deeds of the past. And all they do is to avoid,
All they know is to hurt your heart.
Then,
I pray for you,
That this Prayer, from the one who brought you to life, Whose heart can utter, In a tongue denied to a Knight.
And this Prayer descend on you,
As a gentle mist of light, a shower of dew, a tender breeze to correct the Past And bring you back from the void,
Again to the land of the True Heart
Fresher than a new blossom
With beauty that time cannot touch And, Heaven will no more be In heaven, But in your Soul.
