The Crystal Of Life

800 years ago a meteor fell from space and landed in the Pacific Ocean creating a small island nation know as Crysta. The country gets its name from a myserteous legend of a crystal that is believed to be scattered all across the country. The crystal has the ability to give someone incredible power when it is experimented on, be it super speed, the power to control the elements or even immortality, but the history of the crystal is a story for another time.

For right now I’d like to take to a small two story cabin located in the woods west of Crysta’s capital where the Blaze family lives alone with nothing but the trees of the forest as company. In this house lives an eleven year old boy named Akira Blaze. Akira is average sized boy with messy brown hair and bright blue eyes and while he may look normal Akira has a special power passed down to him by his mother and his grandfather before her. This power is the ability to unleash and summon a blue flame from his body along with blue flame like wings to reassemble that of a phoenix.

One day under the summer sun Akira was training to use his power by sparing against his mother Aki as his brother TJ and father Travis watched on. Aki was a beautiful, tall and kind woman with long silky brown hair who’s eye shun as blue as the flame on her hands. “Are you ready Akira?” She asked smiling at her son. Akira would nod as he could hear TJ yelling “You got this bro” Akira would give a nod to his brother as he activated his power. The young man would let out a roar as he charged at his mother who would dodge his attack with little to no effort. Akira would then take to the sky and try to attack from the air, but this two was easy for Aki to dodge. “CRAP!” Akira would yell as he fell to the ground just barely able to land on his feet. “You’re getting better sweetie, let’s practice your punches” Aki smiled. “No thanks mom..that took a lot out of me. If it’s ok with you I’d rather rest” Akira would sigh. “Ok sweetie but first thing tomorrow we’ll have to practise” She said as she petted her son and walked inside with Travis. “Moms right, you are getting better” TJ would say as he playfully punched his brother arm. “I know, but I don’t think I’ll ever be as strong as mom” Akira would say as he looked at his brother. “You need a hair cut by the way”. “First of all I’m growing it out for the ladies” TJ smirked as he rubbed his hand through his hair long blonde hair. “And second, you’ll get there one day, trust me have I ever lied to you before?“. “Do you really want me to answer that?” Akira would chuckle as the two made their way back into the cabin.

The rest of the day was pretty normal, that is until the clock struck midnight, Akira and TJ slept soundly in their room as their parents had a conversation in the living room. “I’m so proud of how well Akira is doing. I really hope he’ll get to meet Scarlet’s son someday, they would get along so well” Aki say as she drinks a cup of tea. “He’s learned from the best” Travis complaints her. “I just hope he’ll be strong enough if....they ever come back” Aki looks down. “Its been fifth-teen years sweetie, you still got loads of time” Travis reassures her. “Yea, you’re right, I’m going to go get some air” Aki gets up and kisses the top of Travis blonde hair and leaves the house. “He’s right, I’m worried about nothing, they haven’t been spotted in years and we been able to hide this long, we’re fine” Aki mumbles to herself. As she walks through the forest Aki begins hearing the faint sound of people talking, confused she decides to investigate. When she gets to the edge of the forrest she sees the gate has been destroyed, as she walks up to it she notices that the gate has been melted. “What the?” as she looks around the area where the gate once stood she notices what looks to be orange flames. “Oh no” Aki says as she actives her power allowing her to fly home at extreme speed.

As Aki gets home everything appears to be normal. “Travis..boys, are you guys alright?” Aki asked as she slowly walks inside the house but gets no response. “Ahh there you are phoenix, we meet at last” chuckles a mysterious voice from behind her. Aki quickly turns unleashing her flame but before she can turn to face her foe she was punched through the living room wall waking up Travis who was asleep on the couch. “Aki what happened, are you ok?” He would say in panic. “GET THE BOYS AND RUN!” Aki says getting up running back into the hallway. “WHERE DID YOU GO, SHOW YOURSELF, THIS IS PRIVATE PROPERTY” Aki yells trying to draw out the mysterious figure. “Mmm such a weakling and here I was hoping for a real fight” He would chuckle as he appears in front of Aki with his hand glowing a bright orange. “Whats wrong, are we shy?” Aki would mock the mysterious figure who Aki could now see is wearing a hooded cape. “No, just don’t want you to see my face” The mysterious figure would throw a punch at Aki, which she would block and uppercut him in the chin sending him flying up to the second floor. “Aki I got the boys” Travis would tell her as he carries the boys downstairs. Aki would quickly walk over to him and tear up “Take the boys outside, I need to deal with this” Aki would tear up. Travis would kiss her deeply and she would do the same back. “I’ll see you in a bit” Travis would smile as he would outside with the boys. “Awww isn’t that cute” The mysterious figure would laugh. Aki would run at him with extreme speed, grabbing him by the neck and pinning to the wall. “Burst” Aki would say closing her eyes, unleashing a huge amount of fire all around Aki and the mysterious figure.

As Travis runs outside the house explodes in a blue light with pieces flying everywhere, one of them flies at Travis and before it hits him he tosses the boys aside and it lands in his chest. As they hit the ground the boys wake up. Confused they would look at each other before TJ would let out a scream “OH GOD OUR HOUSE” Akira would turn and see a pile of broken wood and ash where his house once stood and he would begin shaking. “Boys...run” Travis would say trying to get back on his feet. “Dad what happened, where’s mom” TJ would say as he and Akira rushed over to him. “I’m here don’t worry” Aki would smile as she limp over to her family. TJ would help Travis up while Akira would go to help Aki as a hunting laughter echos the forrest. “You really think that would stop me?” the mysterious figure laughed as he got up from the rubble. Aki and Travis eyes widened as they both rushed at him pushing Akira and TJ behind them. The mysterious figure chuckled “Orange Fox, Ultimate Burst” he would smirk as a huge burning orange glow engulfed the forrest, sending the rumble and Aki and Travis flying. When the smoke cleared the mysterious figure looked at Akira and TJ. “You know I would kill you, but my boss wants you alive, but if anyone asked you can see you survived and encounter with the great and mighty Lucifer” he would say proudly as he ran off into the night.

Akira and TJ would begin looking for the parents they spotted Travis first but where too late as he was dead. He had died through a combination of the wooden plank in his chest and Lucifer’s attack . The boys would begin tearing up as Aki would limp over to them with her mobile phone in her hand. “It’s ok my sweets, I called an old friend of mine, he’ll be here to help us shortly, let’s sit together as we wait. Akira and TJ would nod, tears in their eyes as they sat with their mother. The brothers fell asleep in her arms and where awoke about 2 hours later by some police car lights. “Mom I think your friend is here” Akira would shaking her, but she didn’t respond. “Mom?” TJ would say getting chocked up. Aki too had supcome to her injuries and died with a smile on her face. A tall man with black hair would step out of the car. “Its alright boys, I’m a friend of your mothers, my name is Nicolas and I’m here to take Crystal Gate City”
