Chapter 1

Abby

“Abby” “Abby” “wake up” as my mom shakes to wake me up for school. Yes, mom what’s going on its six in the morning. “Well it’s time for school it’s Friday, not Saturday,” my mom said. I got up so fast I fell off of my bed and landed face first which hurt much more than it should first thing in the morning. My mom laughed and left my room. I got up and did my usual routine, I brush my teeth, put my messy curls in a bun and wash my face. Clothing I don’t really care about I just throw on a black crop top, ripped jeans, a leather jacket, converse, a choker, and some eyeliner. As I walk out the front door I started to recall the crazy events from last night while my parents were catching this so-called vampire.

Well, let me tell you last night was crazy for me. While my parents were catching this so-called “Vampire” I went into the woods looking for any more supernatural beings that were wandering around. I got so deep into the woods I didn’t know the trail and I stumbled upon a mansion. Yes, a mansion in the middle of the woods could you believe that and on top of that, I saw fellow classmates outside the mansion turn into werewolves. I thought it was a dream but it was far from it, I accidentally stepped on a branch and they all turned around and stared at me with yellow and blue eyes. Except for one, his eyes were bright red and I felt a spark inside of me, I ran as fast as I could to my parents. My parents asked me what happened and I lied saying a bear chased me but I got away. All I could think about last night was those red eyes.

Angelo

Last night was not how I thought it would play out, while my fellow pack members and I were getting ready to go on patrol we heard a branch crack and we all turned around. The first thing I see is my fellow classmate Abby standing there in disbelief and confusion. My red eyes peered into her soul and my wolf side called for me to go near her. Our wolf side only wants to go near when it’s our possible soulmate. As I tried to step closer Abby ran and it made me feel sad and hurt. “Yo Angelo are you good” Henry asked me. Henry has been my best friend since we were seven years old. Yeah, I’m good I told him and went on patrol.

Waking up this morning felt so much more frustrating than ever. I put my polo on, blue jeans, my converse, and I fixed my short black hair. I told my parents goodbye and I ran to my car with my baseball gear. I pull up to the parking lot and saw Henry with the baseball team waiting for me. “ Angelo wasn’t that girl we saw last night Abby,” Henry asked. I told him yes as we walked into the building. Everything seems normal as usual, the popular girls running to us saying good morning, the nerds talking about the next science fair, and everyone else doing their own thing. I see Abby at her locker with her best friends Jess, Brisa, and Alex. I wanted to go up to her but I felt this urge to run up and hug her so I stopped myself. I went to my own locker, put my gear away, and went to class.

Abby

I arrived at school and saw my best friends Jess, Brisa, and Alex already at my locker waiting for me. “Hey girl what took you so long,” Alex asked me concerned. All three of them gave me concerned looks but I said I got home late and slept late. “Were you with a guy last night?” Brisa asked hitting my shoulder while Jess laughed. No, I was not I said slamming my locker door. I felt someone stare at me and I see Angelo looking at me and he walked away. The star baseball player staring at me. I think he saw me last night running away from him and his pack members. At that moment I wanted to leave school and not return, I’ve just been getting glares from them all day long.

Thankfully I have the fifth period with Jess, Brisa, and Alex. While walking to the fifth period Angelo and his friends pull me aside. “ Hey let her go, “ Jess asked glaring at them. They glared at each other while Angelo told his friends to drag Jess, Brisa, and Alex away. I just heard them kicking and swearing at them to let them go. Angelo and his best friend Henry stayed behind, holding me by the arm, and faced me to them. “What did you see last night Abby,” Angelo asked me angrily. I didn’t know what to even say, Should I say a lie or the truth? They kept glaring at me for an answer and I kept silent.
