Royal Phoenix

There one lived a happy family. They were royalty and supernatural beings.

They were considered as such due to their blood and power. The father was Derin Phoenix, a powerful person. The mother was Rosemarie Black, a strong warrior sorceress.

Their child was Rosalie Phoenix Black. She was named after her mother.

One night, tragedy struck. Derin and Rosemarie were assassinated. Luckily, Rosalie was spared.

[Present Time]

"She thinks that just because she's the daughter of them, that she'll be the boss of us. It's so...ugh." Veronica complained to one of her friends.

"I know right? She's so annoying and she practically threw herself on your man."

"Stop. What the hell are you talkin' about? Ha. Get my pretty name out of your mouth." Rosalie said, stepping out of her hiding spot as she used lyrics of Therefore I Am by Billie Eilish.

Veronica and her friend shrank in fear.

"We are not the same, with or without."

Rosalie looked at the other students that were already gossiping.

"Top of the world, but your world isn't real!" Veronica snapped, her confidence coming back.

"Your world's an ideal. So go and have fun. I really couldn't care less. And you can give 'em my best but just know...."

"Know what?!"

"I'm not your friend or anything, damn. You think that you're the man. I think, therefore, I am." She said, leaving with a warning glance.

~Next~Day~

The new male student sat down next to Rosalie.

"I'm sorry. I don't think I caught your name with everyone talking."

"It's Rosalie."

"Oh. You're that dark sorceress everyone's been talking about. I'm-"

"You're Hiru's younger brother." She said.

He groaned. "I was hoping you wouldn't say that. But yeah, I'm Hiru's younger brother."

Her eyes sparkled with rare mirth and mischief.

"If you're anything like Hiru, it'll be a pleasure to be with you....Saito."

"So, um, what are we going to choose? There's so many options."

"Simple. We'll talk about our ancestors. It's history, after all. You may talk about your family if you wish."

"My brother probably told them all...they must know the whole story by now."

"This year, we have a new history teacher, Saito. She's new around here, so you can tell her. Pretend you're only answering her questions, alright?"

"Okay, but what about you, Rosalie?"

She shrugged, hiding her growing tension. "I just don't like being the center of attention."

"You deserve the spotlight, not me." Saito protested.

"Absolutely not, mister. You will speak. Otherwise, I'll fling myself onto the first good-looking male I see."

He sighed. "Fine. I'll do it. But only because I'd feel sorry for the guy."

She rolled her eyes. "Whatever."

They went to the front of the classroom.

"As you all know my name is Saito...."

Here's info about Saito if you really want to know:

Name: Saito Harman

He's a descendant of witches that specialized in healing others. Much like our current doctors and nurses.

The Harmans are excellent when it comes to herbs, spells, and potions.

Hiru is good at fighting and healing himself because he worked hard to be one of the most elite soldiers from the Sun Angel Company.

Saito looks up to his older brother. But he wants to be special, not Hiru's shadow.

So, he decided that it was about time the Moon Demon Company* had healers too.

*I'm not to be credited for the MDC or weapon ideas. I got inspired by Owari no Seraph when I first wrote this.

The words he says to transform into his alter ego are "Moon, heed my call and boost my magic!"

(Yeah, I know it could use a little adjusting. But he is Hiru's little brother)

If you're wondering, Hiru and Saito look similar in their civilian forms. However, Hiru ends up having blond hair and pale blue eyes after transforming. Whereas, Saito ends up having purpleish hair and silver eyes.

As he continued to explain his heritage, Rosalie began to feel better about telling everyone her heritage. If Saito was able to do it, why can't she?

She slowly began to speak. "You all know me as Rosalie Black. But I never told you everything about me....."

Name: Rosalie Black in public and Rosalie Phoenix on the battlefield (I'll explain why later on)

Sign: Aries

Physical appearance: Short black hair, golden eyes, 5'4''. And her signature outfit consists of a white sleeveless hoodie, black skirt, black thigh-length socks, and pale orange shoes.

She can call upon her father's magic or her mother's. You know why her mother was named "Rosemarie"? It's because if you switch around a bit it'll say "Black Rose" instead. That's where she gets her sorcery magic from.

As you already know, her father was Derin Phoenix and her mother was Rosemarie Black.

Derin had Phoenix blood. Meaning that he could summon his familiar at will. Which was, obviously, the immortal bird.

His phoenix was called White Phoenix. His most powerful move was "Phoenix Fury".

Rosemarie was quite powerful as the only daughter of her family with her level of magic.

She had her own familiar as well. Hers was a black wolf. She called upon her wolf at times by saying "Alpha".

Her most powerful spell was called "Black Rose".

Now, then. Enough about her parents. Let's go back to their daughter, Rosalie. Shall we?

Rosalie Black-Phoenix/Phoenix-Black

She is a little of both her parents.

She's naturally the heir to the Phoenix throne, but due to the fact that she hates being in the spotlight, she hasn't claimed her heritage.

She's criticized by others because of it. She became a loner at the age of fourteen.

She currently attends Royal Academy.

She shook as she continued her story. "My parents were assassinated before me. My full name is Rosalie Phoenix-Black......"
