The Colors of Nature
Green is the beginning of a life so grand
A color so vivid, unlike the sand
The concrete idea of a start of new land
A field where the flowers and trees all stand
Yellow is the color of spring
The sign of a rebirthing zing
When the Robins and Wrens start to sing
The time where happiness and fun cling
Red is the color of fall
The young animals follow their mother’s call
They have to get home because they are too small
To withstand the coming squall
Blue is the color of the water
The river is the ocean’s daughter
Where we all go to cool off when it gets hotter
The current moves fast with a swift totter
