The Hybrid's Obsession 18+

I opened my eyes and I was laying in the wide clearing.

Confused, I look down at my attire, I was wearing a white dress with a plunging neckline, and the dress reaches almost to my knees.

I walk barefoot, I can feel the softness of the grass beneath my foot and continue walking.

As I continue to walk, I found a wide clearing full of beautiful flowers. I gasped at the sight. I took the tips of my dress in my hands and began to descend.

This was the first time I'd been to this place. It was so beautiful, so peaceful, and serene. I picked up some tulips and smelled them. Closing my eyes I fail to notice that someone is watching me.

"Do you like it?" Asked the deep voice behind me. I screamed in fright and the flowers fell in my hands.

The hairs on my neck stood and chills run down my spine. My heart almost skipped a beat when I feel a set of warm hands wrapped behind me.

I can feel every inch of his ripped muscles from the thin fabric of his shirt. No words come out of my mouth, I was too shocked to speak.

He tightened his grip on my waist leaving no space between our bodies. He gently nips my ear as his other hand works its way under my dress.

I look down at the ground, but my chin was lifted by another set of hands, my brown eyes locked with the darkest eyes I've ever seen.

"We've been waiting for you my sweet, and finally, the time has come for us to—"

His voice faded in the background and was replaced with the annoying voice of my best friend Aly.

"Charlie! Wake up! You're going to be late!"

I groaned as I feel the pounding of my head. Last night was eventful.

"Five more minutes..." I muttered and covered my face with my pillow. To be honest, I'm curious about my dream. I wonder who is that guy?

My pillow was ripped in my hands and I groaned. The sun was shining brightly in the sky hitting my eyes.

"Fuck! Close the blinds, please!"

"You're so dramatic, come on, you have fifteen more minutes to spare before I left your sorry ass here."

Aly said with hands on her hips, ugh this girl seriously, I rolled my eyes and got up in my bed.

"Alright, I'm up, I'm up!"

"You better be. Or else,"

"Yeah, yeah. I get it. Now, go I'm going to take a bath."

I rinse my hair and close my eyes, and flashes of memories from my dream appeared in my mind.

The way their hands explored my body, feeling every dip and curve. I clenched my thighs to chase the tingling sensation in my core. I can still feel the ghost of their hands on my skin.

I shook the thoughts away, it was just a dream no need to fret. After I wrung my hair, getting the excess water in my black hair, I wrapped my pink fluffy towel around my body. After I exited my bathroom I found the dress laid on the top of my bed that Aly left for me. It was a black silk dress with a sweetheart neckline. The bodice is a black lace decorated with rose patterns. The dress goes above my knees. I paired it with my three-inch heels, didn't want to accidentally break my neck when I tripped.

Aly said that we will be going to town for a quick bite, then why should I need to dress up like this? It's not like I'm going to date or something. Knowing her, she probably has set me up, I felt pity for the guys. As much as she wants me to be happy I'm not yet ready.

I'm still recovering from my last boyfriend, I should've trusted him, I didn't expect to find him between my best friend's legs.

I knew that there was something fishy going on with them. My roommate Kelly warned me about my so-called best friend Ciara that she was eyeing my boyfriend like a piece of meat. Then it happened.

Well, it doesn't matter anyway, after I found them. I dumped his sorry ass. The bastard tried to reason and beg, but I knew that it was crocodile tears. I'm not hurt, it's just my ego.

But, after the incident, I become wary and avoided the guys like a plague. I'm done being a plaything. I'm nineteen and I haven't found my mate. Well, it's a good thing I guess? Because I don't want to find love right now.

I want to enjoy being single, I wasn't lonely I have my best friend Aly with me and I'm content with my life right now.

I was pulled out of my reverie when I heard Aly's car honking. Damn it, I rolled my eyes and walked outside. Aly was an outgoing kind of gal, we're in the same boat, that's why we clicked, but the difference is that I am more controlled. Aly can be reckless sometimes.

"Hop in! I'm so going to enjoy this date!"

"If you're on a date, why do I need to go?" I whined. "Besides, I have things to do."

She glanced at me. "Oh no, don't give me that kind of look. I know where you are up to! And I'm not interested!" I exclaimed.

"Charlie, it's been months! I thought you moved on! Come on, give yourself some credit. Not all the guys are the same! I know that you have a mate out there, but please! At least enjoy your life while you haven't found him!"

I sighed exasperatedly. There's no point in arguing with her, once she made up her mind, and that's it.

"Fine. But just this once. If he's not good then I'm out."

"Deal."

As we hit the road, my thoughts drifted to the dream that I have. I can't get them out of my head. My wolf is silent. She's been like this since this morning.

We pulled up to a nice-looking cafe, I unbuckle my seat belt and grab my keys and purse. Aly was hot in my heels with a giddy smile on her face.

As we entered the cafe, my wolf stirs inside my head and I hear her purr.

"They're close." She said, that got my attention and I perk.

"Who's close?"

Then she went silent again. I huffed in frustration. Aly grabs my hand and leads me to the booth where the guys are waiting.

Once we're closer I'm hit with the most delicious smell. A mixture of musky scent and rain. My breath hitched in my throat and my eyes go wide. Oh. No. It can't be. My heart pumps loudly inside my chest.

I was in seconds in running. I am not yet ready to find my mate. I have things to do and I don't want them to come in my way. I don't want to be tied early, I want to enjoy my life to the fullest. I stopped in my tracks, eyes closed as I reign my wolf to understand why I am doing this. My eyes switched in colors and I can feel my canines elongating.

Listen, Ari. I know it was hard for you to fight off the bond but please you have to understand. I am not ready yet. I have dreams that needed to be fulfilled, just not now, please." I begged to hope for her to understand.

With so much strength I could muster, I power walk to the exit. As much as I wanted to stay and see our mates, I can't.

I was barely one foot in the door when a deep baritone voice stopped me.

Ours.

I bolted in the door as fast as I could and so the chase begins.
