Only You
There she was again – lying beside him, her head resting on his chest. But it couldn’t be so. She was gone, dead. It certainly didn’t feel that way though, what with her entwining her fingers with his. It felt so real, he could feel her there with him – every movement she made, could hear every sigh of contentment as she cuddled closer still.
“What are you thinking about?” she asked sleepily, propping herself up on her elbows, her blonde hair falling into her face as it always seemed to.
“Only you,” he murmured.
This was why he looked forward to sleep each night, only to see her face once more as she came back to visit him in his dreams.
