Chapter 1
You - adorable bunched up bag of love, sweet
syrup on waffle, ice cream sundae, ground
up coffee beans, bellflower, you.
How countlessly have you surprised me with
your gentle caresses and enveloping embrace?
I remember not.
Never before I had thought myself worthy of it until
you held my face and looked -- no, you saw.
You saw me through the depths of my eyes; took me in.
From then I knew -- I'd stumbled upon a gem. Fallen
from disuse, misuse, but still ready for a shot at life.
I am ready to love again - this time, completely.
