Chapter 1
I grab all my stuff and head out for the day sinse my shift is over. I pull out my keys and get in my Bentley. I head home while I'm in the car I start up my deep in thought playlist and start playing J.Cole. My Song ended up being interrupted by my Bestfriend calling me.
" Hello" I said as soon as the call connected
" Hey Zuri you got off?”
"Yea it was cool wasn't nothing to difficult"
"We did have a woman almost bleed to death but lucky we stopped the bleeding"
"That cool I had a woman have a blow out pupil and I had to do burr holes because if not she would've died."
" You going to check out the restaurant tomorrow"
"Yea most likely if not that going to pamper myself"

I giggle at her antics and keep heading to my condo.

I ended up getting home and just fell on my wonderful bed. I'm just tired at this point but I'm also hungry. Which is a bad combination if you ask me. I get up undress and head toward the shower. I in the shower wash my body twice with my Dove soap. Only soap a bitch will ever use. Then I wash my face with the CeraVe facial wash and step out the shower. I stare in the shower and stare off in a daze wondering who my father is wondering if I look like do I look like his mom or do I even have brothers or sisters any cousins. Then I remember that I'm hungry and sleepy. I put on my deodorant and my coco butter lotion. I put on some shorts and a t -shirt. I head towards the kitchen and start making me a grilled cheese because I don't feel like doing anything anymore tedious. I get the cheese ,butter,bread and the pan. I put the butter in the pan and turn the stove on. When the pan gets hot I stack the bread and the cheese to how I suppose to be and wait for that side to get golden brown. I don't like my grilled cheese burnt or too soggy therefore checking it multiple times to make sure it doesn't burn. After the grilled cheese is down in take the pan and put in the sink then get me my yoplait Oui strawberry yogurt eat that and head to bed.
Not before I get text from my stupid best friend talking bout the drama that be happening in her Firehouse. I am the captain of firehouse 14 in Atlanta ,Georgia while she is the captain on firehouse 21 in Atlanta, Georgia. We see each other often but not if we both had stayed at the same firehouse. But she had to switch to be a Letuient so she left to 21 and then became their Captain. I love her with all my heart. Not before I got sleep I get a text from Damien and Pru.

I exited out the message thread and scroll on Instagram and TikTok till I'm fast asleep.

I wake up the next morning and make my way to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. I wash my face and brush my teeth I put my moisturizer on my face. I walk out the bathroom and make my way to my closet . I ended up picking up a white and blue shirt and some jeans. For my shoes I picked my some blue Nike air max and topped it off with my blue Yankees hat. I grab my purse ,phone, iPad,MacBook,and my AP watch. I lock up my condo and make my way to my Bentley. On my way to my car I stop and greet some people. I make my way to the car and hop in turn the air on cause it's hot as hell out here.

I open my door and one of my employees hops in and take my car to valet. I walk up to the building which is my side hustle that is owning a restaurant. I really love it the decor to the food I love. We do have seasonal foods that come around the year but other than that we have a solid menu. I walk in and see a family ordering food. Since the Restaurant open from 8:00 am to 12:00am . Now that may be long but most of the people that work for me are people that work here are single and workaholics the most they can work a shift is 9hours unless they put in a double because I do not believe in over working people. The restaurant is more of a family restaurant but is up to date so we have hip-hop music and up to date songs playing. The songs are explicit so we do have a sign in bold letters saying "EXPLICIT MUSIC IS BEING PLAYED IN THE RESTAURANT". So that I don't get backlash from people who don't allow their kids to listen to people cursing. I was about to make my way to my office when I hear commotion coming from the group of family. When I get closer who do I see. Tahiry,Gat,and Robert. Now Robert I don't give 3 fucks about but Tahiry and Gat I care about. So me being the boss I am I walk up and figure up to figure what it is.
"Excuse me, what is the problem here." I asked no one in piticular just to let my prespsence known.
"Zuri this bitch keep trying to flirt with my uncle and not taking anybody's orders." Ana expresses very upset might I say. I turn to the girl who is name is Janelle .
"You do know about my policy and with flirting while our at work. Don't you see that man has a family and is trying to eat with his family."
I look down and see my floors are a little dirty.
"My floors a little dirty why don't you go and clean them up and flirt with floor. Make love to my floor I want them nice and shiny too."
I said as she was walking away like somebody shitted in her pants.
"Thank you" every body said as soon as she was gone.
" no problem it's my job." I responded
"What's your name ?" As who I'm guessing is Ana's grandma.
"Iyanna Perez but everybody calls me Zuri"
"Very nice name for a beautiful girl." She responded
"I'm cute but I'm not as cute as this little girl right here" I said as I bended down and said hi to the small girl in the booth.
"Do I know you ?" Asked Robert
"Yes Sullivan you unfortunately know me" I said as I took off my sunglasses.
"You scheming ass bitch." I feel the same
"Y'all know each other?" Asked I'm thinking Ana's aunt.
"Yea i know him unfortunately he's my Battalion Chief." I responded with an attitude.
"So you are a firefighter?" Asked Ana's uncle
"Yes I am" I responded
"That's so cool you do what Hiry does" asked the little girl.
"I do guess what?"
"What?"
"She's my best friend"
"No way"
"Yes way"
"Gat I'll see you later right?" I asked Gat
"Yea Zuri at my moms house right?"
"Yea I see y'all later y'all eat good another waiter will be with y'all." I said as I walked away. As I was making my way to my office I saw the uncles eyes on me trying to figure me out from somewhere.
