Deployment notice
I woke up and was tired. I stayed up till 2am watching youtube. I got out of bed after 5 minutes and went downstairs. I have a son. His name is Kyle. He is 13 years old and loves gaming and he is very good. He is in the top 2% in 2 of his favorite games.
“Hey dad, what’s up!” Kyle says.
“Nothing much, I just woke up, ima make some waffles.” I replied.
“Awesome!!!” Kyle loves waffles, I mean who doesn’t? I start to head over to the kitchen when our dog jelly, who is a husky, runs at me and stops at my feet. So I rub her head and feed her. I then get the waffle mix and there’s just enough for today. “We got lucky, we have just enough for today.” I say. “Yes,awesome.”
We enjoy the waffles and I say, “Hey ima go check the mail.” “ok dad have fun”
I go to the door and walk outside. It is a bit cold but I like that, I open the mailbox and find some bills and some junk mail, and a letter from the army? That’s weird i say to myself, I just got my paycheck what could this be. I go back inside and sit on the couch and open it, “ Oh ****,that’s not good” I say to myself. I then get my phone and call Kyle’s mom. She and I divorced 2 years ago but we help each other out when we can. “Hey so I got a letter and it says I’m going to be deployed in afghanistan.” I say, “ Oh my god, do you need me to watch kyle or help with anything?” she said. “Yes, that would be great I don't know how to tell him.”
