Blair still struggling to keep the creature away, she tried swinging at it however she missed, making her hammer fly out of her hand as the zombie was inches away from her face.

Soon the loud noise of a gate opening filled her ears as she looked at her brother who was being pulled away by a girl with short brown hair while a tall black haired boy smashed the zombies head with a bat.

Sighing she smiled as tears rolled down her cheek from exhaustion, stress and happiness.

Just as she gave up and the zombie was about to bite her, the zombie was pushed off of her as the boy started hitting it multiple times.

Shaking, she sat up while a boy with white hair ran over to her and picked her up.

"Don't worry, we got you two" He said, his voice calming and soothing, making the young girl lean against him and close her eyes as she fell unconscious.

After a while, she woke up and sat up, looking around. She was in a classroom with a blanket layed under her. Not knowing where she was or how she got here, she started panicking and got up but as soon as she got up, she fell back down since her body was still weak.

She got on her knees as she tried to remember what happened to her. Soon she got her memories back and started to worry even more. Where was her brother? Where were the others? Were they bad people?

The door opening made her snap out of her thoughts.

A tall brown haired boy with glasses on made his way over to her and reached a hand out for her.

She stared at his hand but after a while, she grabbed it and he pulled her up.

"Hope you slept well. My name is Lawrence. I'm sure you're really confused. Just follow me so I can explain what happened, okay?"

The young girl not having any choice, she nodded and the boy led her to a different classroom that was full with a lot of what seemed like students. As soon as she entered, everyone went extremely quiet, making her uncomfortable.

Lawrence smiled at her and pulled out a chair for her so she can sit down with the others.

Slowly she sat down and Lawrence started speaking.

"So Harry and Ethan found you and another young boy, assuming your brother, outside of the school, being attacked by zombies so they saved you guys"

As soon as she heard him speak about her brother, her eyes widdened as she looked around the room, looking for her brother.

"What happened to him? Did he get bitten?"

She said quietly with worry in her voice. Everyone was really quiet, making her even more worried than she already was as she thought about the worse things possible.

"Don't worry. We checked both of you and you guys didn't have any bite marks. He is currently sleeping in a classroom with Judy"

A white haired boy said as he smiled at her. She recognized the voice as she stared at the boy. Slowly she cracked a sweet smile and whispered a thank you.

"That's Harry and the other person who saved you was Ethan"

Lawrence said as he looked at Ethan who was staring out the window, not looking at the girl at all.

"And what's your name?" Harry asked as he sat down next to the girl.

"Oh. My name is Blair" She said quietly, her voice still cracking every so often.

A short blonde haired boy scoffed as he looked away from the girl while a brown haired boy spoke.

"But Lawrence, we can't let them stay for long, right? We're already low on supplies" the boy sounded harsh and worried as she glared at the girl.

"Jay, what would you do if you were in this situation? We should atleast let them stay for a bit."

Lawrence said calmly however soon everyone was arguing as Blair just stared forward.

She started thinking about how they weren't like other survivors. They actually cared for others, well.. arleast some of them and it's been a while since Blair was around people. She also thought about the situation she got her brother in. She got weaker throughout the days due to the lack of water and sleep she was getting, making her unable to protect her brother all alone.

Soon she made her decision and spoke in a soft voice.

"I understand that we're a burden but you can't just throw us out. Atleast let my brother stay here so he can be safe. I even found some food while we were outside, I could give it up so that atleast my brother can stay"

Soon everyone was quiet in the classroom once again and just stared at the young girl.

"How do we know that you won't come back and rob us since you already know we're here?" A blonde girl yelled.

"I'll leave the town, I promise, just let my brother stay" Blair mumbled as she looked down at her hands.

"That won't be necessary, Blair. You can stay as much as you want as long as you help out around the school" Lawrence said as he patted the girl's back, making her look up.

"But we're low on supplies! We'll just waste it on them!" The blonde girl yelled again and soon a red haired boy spoke.

"Scarlett can you stop yelling already?? You'll just cause more stress around here"

The blondie whose name was Scarlett instantly shut her mouth as she looked up at the boy, looking hurt by his words while the boy just looked away from her.

Soon Lawrence explained the young girl what she could help out with. She found out that since the school is pretty big and damaged, there's a patrol and nightwatch duty that consists of 2 people while the rest stay in their classrooms or go out exploring and searching.

After a while, a lot of the people left already and only a few stayed in the classroom, asking the young girl questions that might help them out a bit.

First they asked which town she came from and how she survived for so long. Then they asked her what she had seen on her way here and she explained everything, hoping that it would help them out since they let her stay.

After talking, Harry lead her to her brother's classroom and she quietly opened the door and nodded to Harry who smiled at the young girl and left her alone so she can talk to her brother alone.

As she opened the door, a short brown haired girl, who she assumed was Judy walked over to her and smiled.

"He just woke up! He is all yours now!" Judy smiled as she left and closed the door after herself.

Blair slowly made her way to her brother who was laying down on a blanket while resting his head on the hard floor

She sat down next to him and put his head on her lap as she smiled.

"I talked to the others and they said they'll let us stay as long as we help out around the school"

Elijah slowly opened his eyes and looked up at his sister as he smiled. Seeing how tired and exhausted her brother is, Blair started brushes her fingers through his hair slowly since she knew it helps him calm down and fall asleep.

In a few minutes, he was already sound asleep, snoring quietly.

She smiled at her brother's peaceful face expression as she layed down slowly, not waking him up.

After a while, she closed her eyes and fell into a deep sleep after the exhausting day.
