EXTENDED SUMMARY

At midnight, she stole his motorcycle and disappeared into the darkness. When Becca Hayek stole an abandoned motorcycle on a chilly winter evening, she didn’t expect a marriage proposal from its owner. However, as she grows more resilient, she realizes that this man isn’t like the rest.

He’s much more dangerous than she ever imagined.

THE PURPOSE

Growing up as a daughter from a relatively progressive South-Asian household, I realize that I often take my fortunate circumstances for granted. I’m often told that girls my age and younger are married off because they’re considered a liability to their families. In some places, women are still regarded as property, and their marriages are practically transactions between their families.

This book is for all of the women and men who struggle to live everyday because of their sex, especially those in unwanted marriages. To all of my readers who ever experienced gender discrimination, regardless of your gender, know that you aren’t alone and that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. I hope that my book brings you some comfort.
