Summary

Anrow Eklund had always been tormented by ghosts who tried to tell him things he couldn't understand, and for that, he was locked in an asylum since he was 14. Now, under the name of Rowan Miller, he escaped his terrible fate and ran to Barlow, the small town where he used to spend his childhood summers at his aunt's villa; although, more than an escape from the past he couldn't suspect that place would be a comeback to his old, buried wounds. Hoping to stay unnoticed, he remained hidden in the abandoned house, until Philip Gladstone, his neighbour and the local detective became the friend he never had, not before it all got darkened by the many mysterious events that started to happen since the boy's arrival. Soon both of them would be involved in a murder investigation, the hunt of a serial killer with a message told by white roses, the race against time and the search for a missing girl who is more likely to be dead, and whose ghost is the only lead to follow and find her location being Rowan the only one who can see... ..."He walked beside them, facing their faceless faces, staring intently at the mournful, hollow eyes that had been eaten by nature; their skins soaked in green-like black as if they had never met the warmth of a heartbeat; admiring their almost hairless skulls, their torn out flesh, so bitten and rotten that could barely hold on to their bones"...
