Summary

I’m a warrior wolf. The protector of our pack. We are ruthless, but have a soft part in our hearts for pack, pups, and, of course mates. I haven’t found mine yet. I wouldn't want one. I ran across the moist soil. They were after me. The Barking and howls was closer than last time. I can’t let them get me. I jumped on a rock and launched myself into the trees. I grabbed onto a branch and hung there, struggling to get up onto the branch. When I finally got onto the branch,I hopped from branch to branch before I saw a clearing. I hopped down from the branch and ran into the clearing. I look behind me and the young pups. They finally caught up with me and tackled me, licking my face. “Ha! I won again pups. Looks like you need to practice more.” You see, I’m a 19 year old werewolf. I sometimes train the younger pups, but I mostly train older wolves. I’m a warrior wolf. The protector of our pack. There never have been a long-lasting problem ever since I’ve became a warrior. We are ruthless, but have a soft part in our hearts for pack, pups, and, of course, mates. I haven’t found mine yet. Nor would I want one. They'd just be in my way.

Prologue

I ran across the moist soil. They were after me. The barking and howls was closer than last time. I can’t let them get me. I jumped on a rock and launched myself into the trees. I grabbed onto a branch and hung there, struggling to get up onto the branch. When I finally got onto the branch, I hopped from branch to branch before I saw a clearing. I hopped down from the branch and ran into the clearing. I look behind me and the young pups. They finally caught up with me and tackled me, licking my face. “Ha! I won again pups. Looks like you need to practice more.” You see, I’m a 19 year old werewolf. I train the older pups, but sometimes I train younger wolves.

I’m a warrior wolf. The protector of our pack. There never have been a long-lasting problem ever since I’ve became a warrior. We are ruthless, but have a soft part in our hearts for pack, pups, and, of course, mates. I haven’t found mine yet. Maybe we should go look for him. That’s my wolf, Amber. Yeah, wouldn’t that be nice. I rolled my eyes. I’ve never wanted a mate because they’d just be in my way. I sniffed the air; rogues. I mind-linked the pups, telling them to run home. They do as I say just as the rogues come into the clearing. “Well well well. What do we have here? A pup from the Black Moon pack?” a rough hairy guy says, smiling. “Yeah, I am.” I looked behind him, looking for predators.

He laughs and shakes his head. He whistles and two wolves come behind him. “Say your prayers,” he said, advancing onto me. Once he was close enough, I side-kicked his head. The wolves jumped but I ducked under them, making them headbutt. The human rogue shifted into his dark brown wolf before lunging at me. We fell to the ground. He scratched my face and was snapping his jaws at my face, just missing me. His slobber goes onto my face and stings the cuts. I tuck my feet under him before I launch him off. His head hit a rock and he passed out. The other two wolves prowled before me. They once again pounced at me, in hopes of getting a lick of my blood.

I pulled out a tiny knife dipped with a sleep serum that should knock them out for days. I stab one in the shoulder and the other in the neck. They both fell, got up groggily before going to sleep. I go over to the passed out rogue and stab him in the leg before I drag to the others. I built a rope and tied it around their torsos. I drag them back into our pack. Once I stepped foot into our territory, a dozen howls rang through the forest. Soon, our Alpha comes and looks at the rogues. “Great job, Krystal. I’ll make sure that they will be held in a secure room.” he walks off, taking the rogues with him and I’m become alone. Just how I like it. My wolf has been itching to get out for a run ever since the rogues.

I look around before I take off my clothes and put them behind a tree. I start shifting. It’s a painful process. All the bones shifting and snapping. It’s suppose to become easier the more you shift, but I’ve been training so much that I haven’t had much time to go out running. I clamp my mouth and close my eyes. Then it stops. I open my eyes and look down at my chocolate brown fur. I run to the lake nearby and look into the water. I see my reflection which consists of a fully brown brown wolf with piercing blue eyes. My eyes seem to be dancing in the sun rays. The wolf gave a wolfy grin before being tackled on the ground. I yelped and looked at my attackers. Two little male grey and brown wolves nipped at my fur playfully and tugged on my ear. I got up and picked up a pup by its scruff. It barked playfully while I trotted along the lake. The other one, taking upon its duty to save its brother, ran after me, growling playfully. I slowed down a little bit, letting the pup catch up before I sped up again.

It soon became dark. I looked down at the shivering pups before I decided to stay with them. I curled into a ball and let the pups lean against me. I moved my tail over the pups like a soft blanket, keeping them warm. I rested my head on my paws, unable to go to sleep. I twig snapped and my head perked up. Someone comes out of the forest and I start to growl. “Hey, woah, woah. It’s just me Krystal,” my commander Taylor said, holding his hands in surrender. I settle down and move closer to the pups. He looks down at the pups and smiles. “Is that why you haven’t come to the cabin?” he questions. I nodded. “Well, how about we take these pups home. Their parents must’ve been worried.” I nodded and nudged the pups with my nose. They opened their eyes and blinked a couple of times before getting up.

I ran to the tree where my clothes are located. I shifted and put on my clothes before I walked back to them. The little wolves silently walked besides me as we went back to our pack. When the pups were finally at home, Taylor and I went back to the cabin. We walked down to the sleeping corridors when Taylor turns to look at me. “Goodnight Krystal.” I nodded. “Goodnight.” I open my door before closing it once more. I changed before I got under the covers before going into a dreamless sleep.
