What is your opinion?

Great story!

"I have a hard time writing reviews, especially for stories that I like. I loved this one so it's even harder.. Part sci-fi, part dystopian future, part fantasy and part mystery. I highly recommend it especially if you are like me and are really tired of reading fill-in-the-blank books that all have the same basic plot, with the same cookie cutter characters. There is nothing ordinary about Wakefield."

First Chapter Review

"The job of the first chapter or pages is to introduce the main characters and central conflict of the story. In this first chapter the introduction of the main character seemed rushed and too much on the summary side. There wasn't enough narrative space around him/her so that we could get to know who we would be reading about and were thrown into what could be the central conflict too quickly. Because I didn't really know Fig (or whoever he was) the final scene, although dramatic in theory, did not come off as dramatic, just confusing. The plot seems complicated and it felt like the author was trying to squeeze a lot of details in as little space as possible. Basically, too much, too soon."
