What if...Catra had a Cold?
What if...Catra had a cold?
Catra had woken up in the middle of the night with a cold. Actually, scratch that-it felt like she was dying, period. The magicat could barely breathe, so she wandered outside, hoping the air would be better out there. And that was where a concerned Adora had found her in the morning when she realized her girlfriend was not laying on the bed beside her.
“I’m...I’m fine, Adora,” Catra reassured her girlfriend, hoping the blonde would stop worrying. Adora had insisted on missing that day’s princess alliance meeting just to help Catra, and as much as the brunette was flattered, she also didn’t want Adora missing a meeting just for her.
“No, no, you aren’t. Oh gosh, is this because of Scorpia’s dare for you to jump into that freezing water yesterday? I told you not to-”
“Adora, it’s not that,” Catra sniffled, trying to forget the cold water she’d jumped in the day before, “It’s just...a natural cold.”
Adora stood. “You know, I could just summon She-Ra to heal you back up.”
“Nah. I’ve had colds before, this one’ll go by fast. We don’t need to waste your energy.” Catra laid down on the soft blue mattress she and Adora shared. “I just need...sleep.”
For a moment, there was no sound, except for Adora’s soft breaths and Catra’s loud, ragged ones. “Okay,” Adora said, laying down next to her girlfriend. Then, Adora did a rather surprising thing. She kissed the magicat. Catra sat upright. “Why would you do that? You might get sick, too!”
Adora grinned. “I don’t care if I get sick, as long as it gives me more time to spend with you.” Catra’s chest constricted like it always did when the blonde said such cute, cheesy things.
“God, you’re such an idiot,” the magicat said, grinning. “But yeah, I don’t care if I’m sick as long as I get to stay with you.” Adora’s grin became a soft, sweet, shy smile. “Promise?”
“Promise,” Catra said, leaning over to properly kiss her girlfriend.

Both girls spent most of that week getting over colds, but it was worth it. Not even a measly cold could stop them, as long as they had each other.
A/N: Hello! Just a small book full of fluff and stuff. Not all the chapters will be this short, and some might even be broken in parts. Basically, I’ll edit this whenever my brain gives me an idea. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed!
