I come home from practice to a freaking kaos. There are movers everywhere that are packing up our house. Today we are moving to our new house in Beverly hills. Two month ago I signed a 6 year deal with the LA Kings for 6.8 million dollars. We bought the house right away since it was a better neighborhood for our daughter to grow up in.

Me and Madison met when I was playing hockey for Harvard. I was a lucky local kid that the college scouts found and gave a full scholarship. When I a few years later made it to the NHL me and Madison got married. I was only 22 but I had found the love of my life. She has been with me all the way though everything. And when she almost a year ago announced that she was pregnant I was the happiest man in the world… and when Zoey was born I never thought it was possible to love someone so unconditionally. My family is everything to me and right now everything is just perfect.

I see my beautiful wife coming at me with Zoey in her arms and a phone in her ear talking to the second unit at the other house. She is a master organizer and has control of everything.

Hey babe great you're home. I need to go to the pharmacy to get Zoey's medicine. Can you take Zoey?

0

Yes go take my car.

Thank you honey I love you, she says and I look into her blue eyes… those beautiful dark blue eyes that our baby daughter seems to have inherited from her mother.

Madison runs out the door and drives off. Two minutes later I hear a breaking sound from a car and seconds later a big crash noise. I leave Zoey in one of the movers arms and run out the street and I see a big truck on fire further down the street. I run for my life down the street screaming "Madison" It feels like an eternity to get to the car and when I arrive at the car I get Madison out of the flaming car. At this point I don't care if I get injured all I think of is Madison. I take her in my arms but she is bleeding heavily from the head.

Maddy, it's going to be okay. The ambulance is on it's way, hold on baby please I cry and scream at the same time. I look at him and he can hardly breathe.

Tell Zoey I love her. I love you Ethan. She says and takes a last breath and the soul in her eyes disappears and gets empty.
