Prologue

Life has a different meaning for everyone. Whether our choices benefit us we never know until we have no choice to decide what to do. All my life choices were made for me. I never got to choose and had my choice made for me. That day was the day it all started.

Everything was going as it always did. I was saying bye to my friends at the front door and after I shut the door I leant against it and sighed. I enjoy spending time with my friends but by the end of it I was left exhausted. I was sleeping when I awoke to the sound of hurried footsteps rushing towards my room. My aunt and uncle burst through the doors and the look on their faces had me stuck in my seat.

" Ann honey we are so sorry, but we got some devastating news. We received a phone call a couple hours ago saying your parents were hospitalized due to a freak accident. They were in a car crash and passed away not to long ago."

After those words I knew nothing was ever going to be the same. The whole day I had a bad feeling like something was going to happen and I knew it wasn't pretty but I didn't expect this.
