Summary

'Eden has become a woman in no time a fine woman if i must say' said Caronte in his mind. ' How can she still be here? No human has made it so long. They usually go back to their body or just die and they go to whatever their fate were. So how can she still be here? ' this thought was awful even for him who shouldn't care about humans. She was born in the Apeiron while her mother was waiting for the Madeet. Apeiron is were everything begins and ends. God demons or humans the same. No rulers neither the god neither the humans or the demons can rule it. It belongs to anyone and everyone. People, gods or demons who are not dead or alive stay there while they wait to go to the afterlife or go back to their mortal or immortal bodies. And you must think it's contradiction an immortal can't die. They can die by the hand of another immortal. There's a balance in this unknown world. Madeet is my boat. The principle is almost the same for mortal and immortals. The only thing that's different is that the gods decide if a human should reincarnate or should suffer before he reincarnate by the hand of the demons .As for the immortals i don't know. Once i thought the Apeiron decided but now i doubt that too. And her? What life belongs to her ? Where is she on all this . And why is she still here?

Eden

Caronte POV


'

Eden that's her name

'. Don't take me wrong i didn't call her that. Once she was old enough to talk she gave herself this name saying this sounded good to her. I don't get attached to humans. I don't get attached to anyone. But she was here for 20 years . I was waiting her to take her in my boat or see her leave back to her body. But neither happened for 20 years . It was strange enough that her mother could give birth to her here. So i didn't understand what she is. This has never happened. Once the mother died the child died too. Maybe her mother was still alive and gave her birth in what we called Eneide. The world of Gods humans and demons. Maybe she's still alive waiting for her soul to go to her body.'

"Caronte" she said with her voice that sounded like a melody.even though she is strange she seems to know i don't like to talk. I looked at her with an eyebrown raised. What did she wanted to know this time.She only talked to me when she wanted to ask a question.

"Caronte flowers never grow here even thought there are people passing by"

I looked at her not knowing how to explain this to her, this was the Apeiron after all. Flowers don't grow. It's not a place to live and flower are alive or dead.

She looked at me like she understood what i meant and turned around to glaze at the nothing.

"He's here again" i said and she knew she had to hide. For some time we could just say that she was waiting for her destiny, but after some time i decided it was better for her to hide. To many questions for my taste .

"Caronte"

"Yes God of Death. How can I help you?" I said obviously annoyed not really wanted to hear what the other gods wanted from me.

" I don't need any help. I came to tell you since you didn't bless us with your presence at the concave that we decided to open Ma'jaat school." The God of Death said as a matter of fact.

"What?" I said, i can't decide if they were crazy or not. A school were gods demon and humans need to learn together. Learn what? this was the obvious question. Gods are gods demon demons and humans are just humans.This is a recipe for disaster.

" Yes it's the choice we have made. We 3 existence need to colide. We gods don't have many woman so we don't have many children and humans are full of woman and less man . As for demons well they can't be excluded since they are strong enough like us. And i don't see a reason to keep them out. And you could take it as a chance for humans. To be next to us superior beings it could only be a honor."

My look of shock is even bigger.

"Why this all sound all as an excuse. Just say you want procreate with demons and this was the only way to convince them. Gods will never procreate with a human and give birth to a week God" i don't know if gods are worst than the demons,they all think about they're needs and calculate every single move they do.

"Since the world has been created and we exist procreation is a need. You have been selected as a teacher. And yes demons are existing creature far more superior than humans." He said with a voice of dominance as only he could give.

"What did you say?" i stated in shock. I don't want to be involved and definitely i don't want to talk with humans gods or demons.

"This is an order not a question . We are all gods but we still serve a king"

"Sometimes i don't know if I'm a god or demon and you ask me to teach a bunch of kids about what?" I said in an angry tone

"You already know what you are. Don't act like clueless GOD. The school will start in 1 month be prepared" he said annoyed and made a very big point on the GOD word.

"And who's gonna be here?" That was the question my mouth said but my head asked another question ...Eden she can't stay here if I'm not here.

"Are you making fun of me Caronte ? You know pretty well your powers so don't use that lame excuse. I said all i had to say see you in a month"he said annoyed even more than me. And i was pretty annoyed. He knew i was making an excuse not participate their madly plan.

What a nerve of a god . And mostly what's is gonna happen to Eden now . I looked at her as she appeared when she heard him leave.Her green hair with purple parts in it and her violet eyes that never gave an emotion. I don't want to make any favors to any weak human. Am i this stupid to go against my nature and try to find her body to send her back to it? I'm questioning my brain right now.But then she looked up at me with her brilliant violet eyes. And my world of being the one who doesn't care shatters. The feeling of a father grew inside me. 'Lets go little woman and find your body, let's give you a chance to live or go to the afterlife'I thought in my mind. This was something i had to do earlier no human should stay here but I wasn't a God who cared and this has never happened before. I knew i could just get the human or god or demon bring it to the body and finished right away since the body will call the soul. But i liked the idea of suffering, i enjoy it and i liked to enjoy. But sometimes the idea of bringing her to her body and decide her fate was somewhat painful to me. She was the only company i had ever had. I've been here since the beginning of times and only seen dead or half dead humans, gods or demons. I should get a grip of myself this has to be done. I have to take her to the Eneide and let her soul finder her body and decide what's her faith. Either she goes to the afterlife, and demons and gods decide her faith or she just lives a human life for a new fresh start.
