"I loved this and am just frustrated there are so far only a few chapters. I agree with the comment someone else made that a little bit more background - introduction of characters at the start might be a good idea ( am not an editor so I don't know) but I loved it even if I did feel at the beginning I had just got on a bobsleigh and set off down the run at a faster speed than I had intended! Really want to read the end of the book. Loved the writing style and in particular the fact that the sentences were kept short which made it much easier to read and is a style I love. I like the way the old woman was introduced into the story and how we slowly learn more about her before she is taken - though still puzzling as to why she was American! Having started to read it I just sat and read right through because I found the story gripping .More chapters please!"

"Im 16 and i really liked this book. I think that the beginning could have been better with a bit more of a slower entry on the main characters to find out more about them. The metaphors used on the sky really brought forward the kind of moody and dark emotions of the sky like something was brewing. Overall, I think this was a good read but still has some points to work on."

"I am 13 and I really enjoyed this book, the plot had great twists and turns along the way just making me even more interested in what would happen next! I think in some spots the speech could be improved but overall it was a great read. In addition the metaphors were really imaginative; This really brought forward the fact that this is such a spectacularly unique and noteworthy novel/novella/novalette (not sure about the amount of words in this). However, I was slightly confused at what was happening at the beginning. I think at least one page of backstory could be written but not to give away to much of the future plot but just to get a grip on what the main characters are like or if there is any extra information you would like the readers to know in the future. In conclusion, I think this is a wonderful and intriguing read for many ages (maybe 8+) with only few things I would need to point out! Out of 10 I would give this book an 9/10. ;D"

"A gripping account of two teens , written in a good style, with many unexpected twists and turns . This is a book like no other, it is original and modern with wonderful description and has a lasting impact on the reader. You should read this book ! It uses brilliant techniques in writing so as to further the readers interest and because of its originality, you will find it a page-turner: an account of survival in an utopia left after the Red War, it is a quest of survival and finding family whilst protecting those around you. Quite refreshingly, in the sister-brother pair (the twins are the main characters) it is the girl who seems to be dominant - strong, decisive and reliably protective of her brother. It will be interesting to see how Arthur’s character will develop when he, left alone in the past, will have to be the strong one to save his sister. There is a fair amount of gore in the story which makes the story very atmospheric, but it doesn’t overpower the reader. I love the stories about time travel and canˋt wait to read the whole book. I think it will make a good film."

"I love this gripping page-turner. The story about two brave twins in a dystopian world that is falling apart (so many analogies with today, like our climate changing, food delivery disruption, etc) is perfect for older children and teenagers. And adults, for that matter. It’s a very timely must-read. The narrator is Arthur, who is one of the twins. His feisty sister Ellie is the stronger of the two, but by Chapter 3 we see Arthur’s character start to develop. He becomes more defiant. There are lots of questions we want answered. What will happen to Chickee and the other children from the camp? What is the Quanterum and how can it help the twins? Can they beat the evil MIDPOL and get to Grandpa’s? Can we have more, please? A pacy writing style and thrilling plot makes you want to carry on reading. I’ve recommended this to several friends with children, who I think would like to get stuck into this exhilarating story. A great summer read!"
