"The plot is compelling, makes it hard to put down. The storytelling is good too. Not the usual romantic story but it gets there. It has a lot to unpack and it does this without the dragging narrative. In fact, for such a complex plot, it manages to accomplish this in such a relatively few pages. While it is indeed a romantic story, the plot is rather dark and grim. It is funny too which makes it a relatively light, enjoyable read for those who love sappy romances (and take on the trigger subjects it has). Its humour and well developed characters makeup for the again, dark theme and helps it be really a romantic read."
