Chapter 1
Melutia's POV
"Melutia, wake up. It's 7:45. The bus will arrive at 8:00," shouted Vanessa, shaking me up.
Vanessa is my elder sister. She is 12 years old, while I am 10. We both go to the School of St. Ulrich of Augsburg.
"Yeah... coming," I said, pulling off the blanket.
I put on my uniform and went to the dining hall.
"Where is Dad?" I asked.
"He left for work," Mom said, packing my bag.
My mom always helps me out with my school stuff. But Vanessa is so perfect and independent in these kinds of things. She hates depending on others for simple things.
Vanessa and I had our food and went outside for the school bus to come.
After five minutes, the bus arrived, and we went to school.
*Evening - back at home.*
Vanessa's POV
It was 6:30 in the evening. Melutia and I were doing our homework.
"Melutia, where are you?" asked Daddy, who came home from work.
"Daddy, what is it?" asked Melutia, running over to him.
"Here," Daddy said, giving her a book.
"A new drawing book? Thank you so much, Daddy," Melutia said and ran to her room.
"Vanessa, the book you asked, what was it?" Dad asked me.
"Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier," I said.
"Yes, I asked for it in many stores, but it's unavailable," Dad said.
"It's okay, Dad. I'll borrow it from the library, maybe," I smiled.
