Five Nights at Knee's

Dex was a simple man with a simple life. He was a single man with no children. One day, he received a newspaper. It read:

HELP WANTED

Knee’s Funhouse looking for a nightguard to work 12:00 am to 6:00 am

Knee’s Funhouse is a child’s dream! There are animatronics there, including Knee; the star of the show, Bee, Knee’s little brother, Hippo, and Lizzy the Lizard! There is yummy food, a room full of lego boxes for your children’s imaginations to run wild, and even an indoor playground!

We are looking to hire a nightguard to work 6 nights from 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM to monitor the animatronics and make sure nobody sneaks in. The guard will receive a $100 paycheck at the end of their week.

The year was 1970, so $100 was good pay. Dex decided to head up to the place and apply.

When Dex walked in, there was only one person in the entrance room, behind a desk. Dex walked up to her. Her work clothes were black, with a decoration of Knee, the dog on the shirt.

“Welcome to Knee’s Funhouse!” the lady cheerfully said “What can I do for you?” “Hey uh, I’m here to apply for the night shift job here,” Dex said. “Follow me then!” Dex followed the lady into the diner.

The curtains on the stage were closed. There was a giant present box over at a corner, where plushies for each animatronic was.

The lady knocked on a door “Somebody wants the job!” the lady shouted. A man opened the door. “Come inside!” Dex walked inside and closed the door behind him.

“I’m the manager here, and you are?” “I’m Dex” Dex responded “Nice to meet you!” they both shook hands. “I’m already going to say that....” The manager made a pause “YOU’RE HIRED!” “WOOOHH thanks, sir!” Dex happily said.

“All that is left now is your tour!” the manager said. Dex was shown the animatronics. Knee was a brown humanoid mutt animatronic with a few black spots here and there. He even had a tail!

Bee was also a humanoid mutt, but with a cuter face and cuter look overall. Hippo was a grey humanoid hippo with a tiny tail.

Dex was brought to the prize corner, where he was shown Lizzy the Lizard. The giant present box opened, and Lizzy rose out.

Lizzy was also a big humanoid lizard robot. Lizzy had a much larger tail than the other animatronics did.

“There is also one more mascot,” the manager said. Dex was then brought to the playground. The playground was huge! There were multiple slides, ladders, steering wheels, and other things on it.

“There is a smaller animatronic here that likes to play on the playground!” the manager said. Dex saw the animatronic come down the slide. “His name is Hoppy, the bunny!”

Hoppy was a snow-white humanoid bunny with a puffy white ball for a tail. Hoppy was the size of a kid. “You could say that Hoppy will be your security assistant for the playground!” the manager said “Though you do still have cameras throughout the playset”

Dex let out a “Heh” “Your first shift is tonight!” the manager said, “I’ll be here!”
