"I’ve been reading Josie’s work for years now and I have to say this one is definitely up there in the top. It seems like it’s all only getting better. Annie is a monster. The worst type of person and I can’t say I feel to bad she got eaten by something. I wish Emily didn’t feel like she owed anything to Annie and I really hope the way their friendship ended doesn’t cause her to kind of romanticize their friendship into something it wasn’t. Guilt and all that— it’s a tricky thing that will mess with you. "

"Oh my gosh! Firstly, I absolutely love Josie Medina's writing style. The prose is fresh and new and comes from somewhere I have not seen before. I like how carefree it seems to be written, however, you can tell the words are picked carefully! The story itself is sublime. I truly saw the car wreck...the carnage. I felt the angst often felt as a young child experiencing the ups and downs of friendship and betrayal. Where she talks about offering Candy and a Hello Kitty Pencil in regards to being able to form a best friendship...so accurate and perfect. I genuinely loved this story. I am now an avid reader of Josie Medina and I look forward to more stories!"
