Selena's point of view
I can't believe life can change with just a spam of seconds. In my first year in campus my family was one of the richest families in school but then this Mr George had to ruin everything on a Christmas day.
All in all, this is life and nothing is going to stop me from enjoying my life to the fullest. " OMG!!! Where are my clothes!" I screamed when I went out and found all my clothes gone. " Mum were you the one that unhanged my clothes on the hanging line?" I asked in agony.
"No sweetie. You know this place is not safe for you to leave your things out like that." She responded.
"I guess I will have to skip school today the_" I was cut off by mum's yelling.
"There is no way you are skipping school young lady. I talked to the school that you would go today at any cost. You just find something to wear"
"You are going to regret this mum. I repeat, you will definitely regret sending me to school today," I warned her as I went to my bedroom and looked for something to wear. There was nothing apart from my PJs, some shirts and shorts that I wore while sleeping. " Definitely not the PJs. I rather wear a short and a shirt and this boots. I will rock it." I said while raising my hands to demonstrate how I will rock it. Obviously lying to myself.
I quickly wore the clothes and took off to school. " Am off to school now mum. Happy?" I said as I passed by my mum.
" What are y_?" I cut her off
" See you later then. And thank you. Really!" I told her as she just gave me an awkward smile.
I walked to school and all eyes were on me as if there was a magnet drawing those eyes towards me. I ignored those stares and walked with confidence telling myself maybe this would be the next trending fashion in school.
At the entrance of the school, I could hear girls gossiping over my dressings. I could bere that but not the teases from the guys.
"Uuuwwww!!! Look at that girl. Is she a first year? I think we should teach her a lesson." One of the guys said. Better ignore that Selena. Just ignore that.
"Hey you! What are you looking at, huh? Nothing here is yours and neither can you get it so better mind your business." I couldn't have just let that slide
" Easy there. You don't know who you're messing with." The guy responded to me.
" And I wouldn't care less so spare me your threats jerk." I said as I went away just to bump into another guy dropping all my things.
This guy was also a jerk. He didn't even try to help me collect my things.
" You jerk! Even a sorry will be okay." There was no response.
I went down and collected it myself only to hear the boys behind me laughing.
Daren, my classmate who I never had the chance to talk to came to my rescue and helped me. He was really hot but out of my reach but I didn't see him as nothing more than a friend to be at least. But right now he was my prince charming who came to my rescue.
He helped me and we walked together to class talking about last year's activity till we were in class. Not many people did the course we did so we weren't many in class.
" Hey Selena. So it's really you. What's up with your fashion gal? You know you are my icon don't you? "
" My clothes were stolen." I told her.
" Am really sorry. I almost forgot about your father gal it must be hard for you. Am really sorry. If you need anything just let me know." She said sympathetically.
"I know, thanks Alex. " I told her as I sat and the lecturer was inand already giving notes.
In the middle of the lecture, I found myself dozing off. I always did that in this subject. It was chemistry. I found it boring.
"You haven't changed your attitude towards chemistry? " Alex asked as she chuckled.
"Am just wondering who discovered this way of torture. THIS IS ABSOLUTE T_O_R_T_U_R_E. Torture!" I said as I frowned at the end which made Alex laugh out loud.
When the lecturer looked over to us we immediately turned to our books and pretended to be attentive. When he looked away, Alex just laughed silently covering her mouth.
When the lecture was over, we walked to the gate with Alex since we had only one lecture. Alexia's brother picked her up as I walked home l. When I arrive back home, mum had prepared lunch for us. I ate and went to sleep. I can't deny I really loved sleeping and I woke early to go to school so I had to repay that sleep. Nothing really happened after that.
Damian's point of view
"Hey! You want to be in our group, new boy. I have a deal for you. Make the weird girl fall in love with you and then break up with her after she's head over heels for you." The leader of the gang told me.
" She's not my type." I said as I looked away.
"I told you that he doesn't belong in our gro_" I cut Dickson off.
"But that's a simple job. I will make her head over heels for me within a week." I said with confidence and walked away.
"Hey! There's a party at my place. Don't miss out," the leader, Tayler shouted but that didn't stop me from walking away.
I was meeting up with my best friend Liza from the airport. She had joined a boarding school in this place and I had to take her to her school. What can I say? It was my duty as a best friend.
I went to my blue V8 and started the engine and drove away. As I drove to the airport, I remembered the childhood memories we shared with Joy as best friends.
We loved singing together and often went for auditions together. Though Joy was outgoing and I was and still is an introvert, we got along pretty well.
I could sense a premonition that my friendship with Joy would be torn apart by my new company back at school but I waved it off.
I was at the airport when I saw Joy coming to jump on me. " Hey! What you doing Infront of all this people?" I asked her hiding my face in shame.
" Uuuhm! You idiot! You mean you are still shy. How are you even going to get a girlfriend, huh?" She asked jokingly.
Come to think of it, I had made a bet to make a girl fall in love with me in a week's time but I was really shy with girls. Though no one apart from anyone who has been very close to me would notice my shyness. Her question made me wonder what I would do. Joy would never help me out if she found out I wanted to play with the feelings of anyone but I really needed her help. I had to hide the truth from her and instead I choose to tell her I liked the girl.
We went to my car and entered it and I started driving off.On our way to her school, I decided to ask for her help. "Joy? I called her.
"Yes Dami. I know you want to ask me something. Out with it! " She said filled in her voice.
"There is this girl I like but I can't find a way to approach her. I wa_" She cut me off.
"Of course I will help you. What's the name of the girl? How is she like? Wait does she like you too?" She could not stop with the questions.
" I only know she is courageous and funny. Nothing more." I said looking forward to concentrate with the driving.
" You fool! You mean you don't even know her name. Anyway, we need a plan for that. How will I get out of my boarding school to help you out ? " She asked.
"No need of you to sneak out of school_" she cut me off.
"Shut up! How can you even help you fool." There was a moment of silence then she said with a sinister smile visible, "You will come to school disgusted as my father and say there is an emergency at home for then I will stay with you for five days and help you out. Hope your room is not big enough for me to fit. Don't dare refuse. Who wants to stay in a place looked out from the world anyway." She said.
" I don't think it will work. " I told her
" Do you have any other plan?" She asked.
" No."
" Then shut up and do as I tell you. Stop here at the entrance, I don't want anyone to notice you." She said.
I dropped her of and waved her good bye and went away.
