Summary

Aurelia is one of the few remaining descendants from fairies. She lived an idyllic childhood, roaming through bountiful fields, playing with her young twin sisters and loved dearly by all she came in contact with; what more can a young fae want. That all changed one night with the barbarians came. Stolen from her homeland, she was forced to live a life of enslaved servitude while trying to adapt to new culture from a young age. The price for her freedom was too steep to pay. Starved, beaten and almost raped on numerous occasions, Aurelia never gave up hope. She acted as a mother or big sister to those who were younger than her and just as enslaved. However, a gypsy witch rescued her from her abusive master and helped her assimilate into a life she never dreamed possible. Aurelia was now comfortable to learn their foreign language and live without the fear that she would be enslaved again.
