Prologue
Juliana hasn’t had an easy life by any means. When she was five years old, a mysterious instance occurred and left her parentless. She then ends up staying with people who reluctantly took her in and from then on, her life will never be the same again. Juliana has always put others first before herself. She tended to have a clouded judgement when it came to herself and making decisions. She liked to stay out late to bask in nature and soak in the little freedom that she possessed, before reality kicked in once more and she had to return to the unsettling life that her “foster parents” had in store for her. Unfortunately, this reality is one that bears no resemblance to that of how any person should be treated, and because of this painful situation that she has endured it has hardened her to becoming a shell of a person that she once was. But one fateful night she cried out to the heavens, and pleaded with the universe to help her. She cried out why does she have to endure such suffering. Why isn’t she loved or treated properly? How could they allow this darkness to almost consume her if they truly cared for her? The universe listened and because it could not stand to hear her cry out in pain any longer, it changed its trajectory on her life…one that will never be the same again. One morning she wakes up in a foreign atmosphere and shivers in fear as she can’t remember how she ended up there. She starts to walk through the forest looking for clues of any sort, as well as any tell tale signs of a village near by to help direct her as to where she is. But the more she walks, she starts thinking and asking herself questions pertaining to why she can’t remember anything. With no clue as to who she is or what’s going on, she stumbles upon a root of a tree and collapses as the hard truth is setting in. Then all of a sudden she hears whisperers that come out of nowhere. As the noise gets louder, all she can think of is a person with stormy gray eyes; beckoning her to find the others. As she’s struggling to understand what’s going on, she suddenly gets an overwhelming sensation that encompasses her entire being that causes her to project a light that shoots up into the sky and acts as a beacon. When the light finally dies down, she suddenly passes out due to exhaustion.
