Summary

Do you fear death? Do you dread your final days and what will follow? Or, do you have peace? Death is only the beginning of your new adventure in paradise. Do not fear; do not be troubled—believe. Alex Mercer starts his day on his birthday as any other day. He goes to school, attends his classes, and concludes with football practice in the afternoon. Later that evening, he attends a party hosted by his crush since 2nd grade with the hopes of finally having the nerve to speak to her. But as the night progresses, events shift from good to worse, as gun shots ring out, cops show up, and half the student body is running wild in the trees and streets to escape arrest. Alex disappears into the woods behind the house, the shouts of police behind. It's dark, and the trees are dense, the ground ravaged by fallen debris and stumps. He wanders blindly until he stumbles onto a black windy road and into the lights of a fast approaching vehicle. He feels a tug on his body and the cool wet blanket of air flashing by his face. The next thing Alex knows, he wakes up in heaven with no recollection of what happened. This is the story of one young man's journey from a world of suffering, despair, and grief to one of hope, love, and restored belief in God. The afterlife is real, heaven is real, God is real, and Alex must tell the world of his life-changing experience and transformation.
