Chapter 1
Hayley sat there backstage watching the Backstreet Boys on the screen as they performed in concert. She was married to Nick. But the night before, she was in bed with Kevin. She couldn’t believe she slept with another guy who wasn’t her husband. Kevin and Hayley both knew it was wrong and could not happen again. But Kevin made her feel special. Nick was having problems with his family and he would go out and party after the concerts and always came home drunk and had lipstick stains on his shirts. The night before was the worst. Nick came after her and tried to hit her and told her to get out and she ran out and went to Kevin’s room and he held her close as she cried. One thing led to another and they were making love. She went back to her and Nick’s room and found Nick passed out on the bed. She went and slept on the couch where a hungover Nick found her in the morning. She explained what he tried to do and he broke down crying. He swore he would never drink again. All day he was by her side when he wasn’t busy and he was being very sweet and loving towards her. She prayed he wouldn’t go out and party. Leighanne sat down next to her.
“You okay, girl,” Leighanne said.
“I’m just thinking,” Hayley said.
“Scared to find out what happens after the show, trying to figure out if Nick will stay with you,” Leighanne said.
“Yeah, he swore he would never drink again,” Hayley said.
“Show’s over,” Leighanne said. The guys came backstage and went to shower. Nick came over before going to shower.
“Hey baby,” Nick said kneeling in front of her. She smiled at him.
“Hey,” Hayley said. He stroked her cheek.
“I’m keeping my promise, baby, you and me all night long,” Nick said. Hayley kissed him deeply.
“Hey, I’m all sweaty,” Nick said.
“Yeah, I know, but you are so sexy,” Hayley said. Nick smiled.
“I’m going to go shower, I’ll be back out and we can go back to the hotel and be together,” Nick said.
“I love you,” Hayley said.
“I love you more,” Nick said. He kissed her deeply and went to shower. Hayley smiled and looked at Leighanne.
“He really is going to do it,” Leighanne said.
“But how long will it last before he hits the bottle again,” Hayley said quietly.
Nick came out of the shower first and came over to his wife and pulled her up and kissed her hungrily as Kevin and Brian came out of the showers. Kevin saw them kissing and looked at Brian.
“I hope he doesn’t go partying again,” Kevin said. Leighanne came over.
“He’s not,” Leighanne said. Nick and Hayley went out the door.
